FRIDAY 16th Pay

Post by markadam1962 »

I will kick off what will become a busy thread today!

I have worked 33 hours and have been paid £93

This is beyond a joke, the weekend before Christmas and to be let down again by this shower of s**t, I'm so angry. What am I going to do about my kids Christmas presents?

Angard you are inept, useless, incompetent.

Moya Greene if you are reading this..... your company is in trouble. SERIOUS TROUBLE.

After midnight, Banking updated, my debits/bills have gone out, no wages in for the 16th, ...and overdrawn. THANKS ANGARD! thats another £22 charge from Barclays. Angard are completely in breach of contract now, two weeks unpaid. Really hate to say it, but people should have stayed on benefits rather than make any effort. Royal Mail have alot to answer to, not just Angard here... It seriously sounds like a massive national scam covered up in cotton wool by the pair of them.. oh, and not forgetting Reed Global, who I have just seen, as of October 2011, were announced the 'directors' of Angard on the company registration. Time to get serious.

I've been paid a penny. Literally a penny. The guy on the phone during the week assured me that 100% of the pay problems had been resolved but even if there had been some major overpayment (which there hasn't been), what are the chances that that overpayment would be just 1p short of the total amount I'm owed? I stopped working for Angard last week as I had a feeling that something like this would happen and I'm fortunately not as desperate as others for money (although I'm not flush by any stretch of the imagination, partner is only a carer and that's hardly well paid) that I would risk working for what would turn out to be free. I believe the phone line opens at 8am. I'm sat here in my metaphorical sleeping bag outside the metaphorical Harrods sale that is Angard pay department...can't wait for opening time. There's gonna be a rush!

You cant possibly be telling the truth as we all know it is impossible to get in touch with Angard on the phone :Very Happy

More seriously unless there has been a small delay it now appears I have not been paid for a third week :evil/mad

Just got back from my night shift. There was a 10 minute meeting where all the casuals were called in at 05:50.

Not got the exact figures, but the shift manager said they had received an email from the HR department basically stating -

They are paying people in 3 or 4 waves. A few thousand people at a time.

1st at Friday Midnight 12am, 2nd at Friday 9am and 3rd at Friday 5pm. If you are not paid by Friday 5pm, you will apparently receive a cheque either posted to your address or handed to you by your manager for £350, which you can cash in at any post office, if the £350 exceeds what you are meant to be paid, the rest will be deducted from next weeks pay or something like that.

A few of the lads who I work with have been paid so hopefully I get the correct amount before 5pm. :nana

Are you f***ing kiddin' me?
£88 on Tuesday as some sort of emergancy payment/a percentage of what I worked the week before last, now UNDER £100 for the full week I did last week, AND the remaining money I was owed for my first week? SERIOUSLY?! I've had enough of this crap, taking it to small claims.

Well my 2nd week's pay has hit the bank, a grand total of £59.93 for 37.5 hours of night shift work at the rate of the grand total of £6.58 per hour.

Time to speak to my MP, and maybe an employment lawyer. Not impressed and not going to work tonight.

Incidentally, I am thinking of raising the loss of banking data with the information commissioners office, its a direct breach of the Data Protection act even if the information they have lost was on paper and not on digital media. It has happened to so many of us that its not simply been mislaid or sent to the wrong department (as they have tried to explain on the phone).

Sounds like Chinese Whispers again. Funny how each one of those pay times are in the middle of the various shift patterns. They can then and will fob you off with those times and say hopefully thats when you will be paid. With 99% of people not able to check their bank accounts while at work guess what will happen?

So you can get a cheque for £350 which may not actually clear into your account before Christmas, although it may appear to. A person/company that writes a cheque can have it recalled up to 7 working days after it is taken to a bank for paying in. So that is after Christmas then. :cry

If you go overdrawn for none or incorrrect payment of wages is the employer liable for any bank charges you incur? At all other companies I have worked at previously my employer would pay bank charges in these circumstance but not sure they had to.

There is no technical reason why they should not run the complete payroll at the same time. Most other companies will and do.
