Yes, it did cross my mind.
oh s**t i hope Carlas not on line

Can Belial explane his Open invite???? I have just gone thru the posts of this lively debate and would now ask why my name has been brought up??

To answer IWW's Q.. Is I dont and wouldnt speak for anyone right wing or anyone else come to that.. But i want to know as a democracy and a free vote why has the BNP been banned from the CWU and so anyone with a view on IMMIGRATION and to stop it has to be pigion holed as i feel is the case with the CWU.... In my opinion... I dont have to explane myself and my politics as no one else has to... I just feel YES the CWU is linked in the past to the Labour party as we all know.. Old Labour is dead and buried... Alot of the opinions and propaganda and mud slinging from right to left and back again aint bringing the working class back together and that is my main issue... To put a tin hat on my opinion to IWW.. The greater good is above right, left, capitalism or socialism.... Its the balance of all these together as we are and the CWU SHOULD BE.... I dont want extremist or actions that put the working class backward.. The people that flood this country make it like a rat race and the lower classes will fight it out... Not the bastards pulling the strings... So i never have or will blame the immigrants for wanting to come here but i blame the state and th goverments past and present for encouraging this to go on..... ALL i say is look after the workers first....

OUT

If any other invite comes my way i will look at it when i can be bothered??

PS FECK THE IN FIGHTING I WANT THESE TWO OUT AND NOW!!! :cfo :lfo

There is nothing wrong with communism or capitalism or any other --ISM-- The problem is that as soon as these ISM's get into power they completely stifle democracy. As soon as you have a situation where the people running things have unfettered, unchallenged control over the masses, then you run into problems. The people at the top of the pyramid need to be held to account. This is not a new idea, it was invented thousands of years ago in Greece. I think we should have democracy in Royal Mail. Not only to vote for our union officials, but to be able to vote for who is on RM board of directors.

I don't bother with the Stuka pilot at all. I'm a big Motown fan who likes curry so we don't get on.

I think you have all missed the point, capitalism wants you to crave what others have and that those from another place ( I wont say country because Tebitt told me to get on my bike and find a job in the early 80s) are going to take away the chance I have of getting what I want. Classic divide and conquer. Workers need to realise that the Bosses, ( The capitalists) don't care what colour or race you are just as long as they can exploit you. DVbuk55 and Wildcat having the debate about imigration means that you have fallen for the right wing message. Do you believe that the Island we live on is going to sink because we have to many people. No I don't think so, the native population in this country has stopped have kids due to the demands of the capitalist system. The imigrants that come into this country want to work and also thrive ( have kids)therefore by definition provide those who will be paying taxes when we are old and infirm. If the governments of this country actually did their job then we would have no reason to call into question the amount of imigrants coming in to this country. My taxes have gone up, the top 10% in this country has gone down, simple maths tax the rich. Provide the services for all the people in this country. The government wants nothing better than for the workers to be divided on issues that don't affect the rich. Simple! Workers everywhere are the same irespective of colour or race.

Well if you think things in the garden are rosy- fine - I don't.

I don't think the island is going to sink - I do think the economy cannot sustain immigration on the scale that we have - even worse now that the EU floodgates have opened.

We live in a consumer driven society and it is called capitalism - it's flawed but has shown to work through thick and thin, outliving any other form of society. The Government? Well in a democracy the people put in to power those they choose to be governed by - we choose - they govern, so whatever it is the government want it must be what the electorate want. It sounds simple - because it is.

Considering it has broken down into two catastrophic world wars, several depressions and regulary throws up dodgy regimes such as Hitler, Franco and Mussolini's within living memory, it does indeed seem flawed. It will go the way of feudalism in due course. In the 1600s the landowning class and their allies thought nothing could be found to replace that too.

I think you might have missed the point. Our rulers hand out a nice 'safe issue', say immigrants ,easily identifiable very visible,in the hope of distracting large sections of the population.
Correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think immigrants were responsible for setting up Postcomm, selling off council housing, blocking the construction of new council housing, introducing council tax, profiteering from energy price rises, introducing VAT,the pensions grab, tax loopholes for the mega rich, cutting corporation tax, cutting our wages or making my walk longer. I could go on but you get my drift.

Which bit of our flawed system is working to your satisfaction, health ,education housing ,transport,banking/finance,defence/security,etc?

Well the landowning classes are still here in fact there are more of them - I own the land my house is built on (you may touch your forelock :funneh ) - name me one nation that survives without western aid that is not capitalist. If this system of capitalist/democracy is replaced it won't be in my lifetime nor in my childrens childrens lifetime. Does that make it good? Not necessarily - but it does work. As for trouble and strife? - what society hasn't been founded on aggression? Hitler, Franco and Mussolini were all fascists, one step removed from a communist in my book - thrown up in a single generation and hardly a reflection of capitalism.

What about Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and Nelson Mandela all thrived (eventually) in a capitalist system and did not decry it at all.
