As a customer it is a reminder of what goes on behind the scenes each night every night to get the mail to our doorsteps. Never a nice thing to happen but especially at this time of year.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It is to be hoped that those awaiting delayed mail, wherever that lorry was bound, realise that occasionally it can be the result of such a tragedy.

Re: RM lorry driver killed
Tragic another Royal Mail employee's life lost whilst at work. My deepest sympathies first and foremost to his immediate family and work colleagues.
"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."
