x-mas casual strike update

This is important that all casuals are prepared to withdraw their labour at 12:00 Monday 19th, for the duration of that day.
As I have stated before, this day is the best to do it as Mondays are always the busiest day of the week anyway.
It is the last weekend before Xmas, when everyone will have sent their last minute cards and presents.
By withdrawing your labour on that day you will disrupt the sorting process so Tuesdays mail will not all be delivered.

Believe me when I say Royal Mail mail centre managers are deeply concerned by this proposed action.

If casuals withdraw their labour on Monday, Royal Mail can't train new casuals to do the jobs being done by existing casuals in five minutes.
If casuals do not work, the chances are royal mail will not clear the backlog of mail before x-mas.
If royal mail bring in extra staff to train due to the threat of some/all existing casuals withdrawing their labour, that is more expense, wasted money and over-staffing problems,if the casuals do not withdraw their labour at all.

The threat of this action will remain a possibility until Angard sort out this mess, and pay everyone EXACTLY what they are owed.

It does not matter how few or how many choose to withdraw their labour, royal mail will not be able to predict what will happen so will be unable to take the necessary steps to ensure the mail is processed and delivered without added expense.

The feeling where I work is that we can't wait until next Monday. We are angry with not being paid & being fobbed off. We have had enough!

If you feel you have enough support, then go for it, and all the best.
Make sure you post the fact that you have done it on here, as I know managers read this forum.
Rumours have been going round our mail-centre that casuals in the London area simply walked out en-masse, if this is true or not we don't know, but we are a long way from London, thats all I can say.

dont forsee a strike happening anywhere on monday looks like a load of hot air to me as too many nomads in this company who do exactly as they are told if you do strike though fair play to you just hope you know the laws on this 1st though
