indeed. anything to hold us back at our office. the screw loves keeping the key to the bike shed in his pocket till everything is clear then he gets his power boost by unlocking it so we can go out. SAD.

postcom have a f****d up way of thinking when it comes to royal mail.

but with those 2 in charge on top of the s**t postcomm give rm its no wonder this company is going to the wall.

every postie i know used to think this was a good job and want to try to save the business more than rm seem to.

but how can you work in an enviroment where the company and the managers you work for are doing everything they can to stop you from doing youre job..it is thier mess and we are getting all the s**t for it..

ive never known a company that holds its employees in such disregard..its like they hate you trying to do youre job efficiantly and well...
and ive never known a company that actually seems to want its employees to strike its like theyre using that as an excuse for their kamakazee way of ruining this business..

the only way those 2 and the goverment would sit up and take notice is to have a rolling strike day every week leading up to xmas then a 2 week strike bang on xmas..

that is the only way they would sit up..f**k all this talk about them having more talks, theyve shown that is all bollocks anyway,if they even want to negotiate strike anyway..i know this would give us bad publicity especially at xmas but that is the only way they would actually start talking.

You said

"do you know how much a day on strike costs nationally in fines, lost business - both short and long term - and lost revenue?"

yes - and its all royal mails fault.

when you say things like this one could be forgiven for thinking you are

A) a scab
B) a manager
C) mentally ill.

if you are none of these, please accept my apologies you must have just worded your argument wrong.

You can't have worked for Royal Mail for very long if you think there has been no change in all that time. Why don't you go and start another forum for arse licking managers and strike breakers because you're obviously missing Hellfail.
:hmmmm definitely sounds like a gaffer off hellmail

Dont you find it Ironic that Most on ere want to save our service and jobs when all that BIG AL & lil adam want is a dismanteling of the business from inside out Bottom upwards... Now i know there is a cut in screws jobs and admin... But the fact is how many front line workers we need to the ratio of admin and the output of real work done??? I think your find your job is far less productive in real terms... I know all the wizz kids and new graduates all fresh from UNI all good intentions may they have? But RM have instilled more and more jobs for the boys over the period of time the cuts and EVR's have been on going.... FACT... How many F/T office bods have had there hours cut for moving a job compared to the POSTIE moving office if lucky? And having work conditions FORCED upon us... Where the core of the work will always be at OUR level... Its the nature of the job... Even after MECH has rolled in to cut back on your 38% on other rival firms... We will still be serving the WHOLE OF THE UK not just cherry picked areas... U cant get a Pint in to a half pint pot... And this is what RM are trying to do with the workforce, make us into a half pint pot while wanting a full to the brim pint of profits and in turn SHARES if the goverment get there way!!!

Force phantom shares that will never benefit the front line workers.... NEVER....

Its a sham and if you or anyone think its a real insentive then go and hang yourselves!!!

NOT ME AND NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT AS 77% Of posties who voted say the same!!!!

One of the things puzzling me is that BILL and BEN new these changes were afoot a few years back when RM started making record profits (overnight from making huge losses ????). Why were they not planning things back then when they could see the competition coming. These two clowns are supposedly business astute ? Yet they wait until were right in the shite to introduce change/ modernization and try bail us out from the mess they have partly created.

neither of them to me is a true leader in their own right, they only follow what they have learned at the knee of others so apart from asset stripping the company they have had nothing to show for their time at the top, time to go folks, and leave arnold alone his views are just as valid as yours

No one is saying they aren't, and just like everyone else he will have his views challenged when someone else disagrees with them.

Wot i ment by PRODUCTIVE!!! IS THE REAL WORK.. SWEAT ON BROW STUFF... Not the sweeping a job about long enough so there boss dont move em on to something else or hanging out paper shuffling that a school boy or girl could do.. REAL WORK....

You know the stuff SOME of you screws have to do as in xmas pressure when you lot make a token effort at a MC to sort a few packets or a few letters and make a feeling of.. "WERE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER LADS N LASSIES" , BULLSHIT BASIC PURE AND SIMPLE...###

Arnie,,,, Have you got my point now?

I see your figures you print but i know as most.. Figures can be made to look like anything you want with a right computer and a few CORRECT questions asked... IE.. HYS forms!!!! WTL sessions!!!! So when you spout off figures i am sick to the teeth with them as most must be? from shiney arsed w*****s with feck all else to do... A trained monkey could do most of your jobs... ive worked as close as i wanted to with that lot in a bookroom of a MC and i saw enough to make my opinion as it is.... Most of the work was done by BLUESHIRTS.. EX PHG's... Now that RM took that grade away.... But still want the posties to do the jobs.... But let you lot and LA's to do the stuff that keeps you in a job,, Just enough tho!!! But not enough in my book as your not worth a pint of piss.. In my opinion!!
