Our managers confirmed our information today with everyone.
Been told we're now expecting payment on the Friday, so we're gonna be two weeks in arreas.
I won't hold my breath though.

Re: people not getting paid!
Hi everyone
Personally I have heard the promises "it will be correct next week" before many many times.
Important to remember that Angard were making the same "errors" with peoples pay way back at the begining of November, that is 6 weeks ago and they have only got worse.
How come they can suddenly promise to fix it for this Friday, has Santa delivered their new payroll system early or something.
I even sent them a detailed breakdown of what I should be paid to make it easy for them, guess what the reply was ?
"Too detailed and complicated we cannot understand it"
It was simply a list of the hours I had worked versus the hours they had paid me and then what they owed me - how difficult is that.
I truly hope they do get it right this week, will be the first time!.
Keep chasing for what you are owed.

Re: people not getting paid!
No casuals who started on the 239th November have been paid at the Portsmouth Slindon Street Sorting Office. Any amount of trying to contact Angard has failed. There have been casuals who walked out as they do not believe the Agency has any credibility. Let's see what excuse Angasrd come up with today. Yesterday it seems their computers went down. Hmmmm. The trouble with Angard is they think all are as foolish and utterly immoral as they are. If we wedre we would not be working our socks off to get the Christmas mail out. Not even a courtesy email to say sorry. They are a disgrace.

Re: people not getting paid!
When I went into work yesterday at 13.30 I was told that money would be in my bank account by 14.00.
At 14.10 I checked my bank account via internet banking and had indeed been paid more or less what I was expecting.
I recieved an apology from the top boss in the mail centre, 2 voice mails from Angard apologising and promising that it would never happen again. And then when I was on a break at around 20.00 I recieved a 3rd call from Angard to say sorry.
I was told by a line manager that RM had sent 60 personel staff to Angard to pull them out of the sh*t.

Re: people not getting paid!
FINALLY got paid yesterday!!!!! However, I'm not holding my breath for payment on this Friday. Tbh I'm not expecting a whole load of money anyway, seeing as I've taken a couple of days off due to the sheer stress of this situation... Hope everyone else gets their money a.s.a.p && I'll see you all on here on Friday afternoon again! =p

Re: people not getting paid!
Did no other mail centres get an email read out by your managers from angard yesterday? Current word is Royal Mail HR have sent their own staff over to sort Angard out and get people paid.

I just got through.
Today's lies -
1) I will be paid today,
2) we have the wrong bank details ( despite confirmingthe correct ones yesterday)
Wait and see, did tell me to give it a couple hours and to call back if I still have no pay.

Re: people not getting paid!
I also spoke to that emergency number.. I had a call back after 10 mins saying my payment is being processed and I should get 60% in my bank in the next 48 hours and the rest will go in Friday with Friday's wages.
I heard the same last Friday when they said I would get paid by midnight.. I did not go in last night due to all this and when I rang in the East London mail centre I was told that a few people had rang in saying they wasn't going to be there due to lack of payment.
I am going in tonight, mainly to share the numbers I have with others so they can sort there money out.

Re: people not getting paid!
Plymouth Casuals. Approx 30% of Plymouth casuals have not been paid at all, and some of them have been working since November 23rd! Out of the rest of them lots of their pay is not correct, with over 65s being deducted National Insurance when they shouldn't and others getting the wrong rate of pay. Royal Mail managers say "it's nothing to do with us, because we are not paying you" , even though Royal Mail are majority shareholders in Angard. They have now started asking who has not been paid and staff are promised you'll be paid by the end of the day - but nothing changes. Tempers are wearing thin, its all the casuals talk about at breaks and it is disgusting that Royal Mail are not sorting this out asap. I am sure people will stop coming in to work soon, and if someone has the balls to call a walk-out I am sure lots will support them.
There is also talk of contacting the Herald newspaper..

Re: This is an 'unoffical' Angard Staffing Agency forum
Words can't really describe my feelings towards Angard at the moment but seeing the article in The Sun newspaper yesterday made me realise that perhaps I had a lucky escape.
I applied for Christmas work at the Nottingham site and was given a start date of 1st December working nights. It wasn't until the 29th November that I received an e-mail from Angard stating that I had been successful and would be sent a contract with a start date. The 1st December came and went and I still heard nothing. However, a friend who knows someone who works there said they were expecting a load of casual staff that evening but no-one showed up. You can't contact Angard my phone and they don't reply to e-mails so there is no way to find out what is going on. I turned down the offer of other work because I felt I had committed myself already and having thought I would get some work for Christmas this has left me in a terrible position. If Angard have employed too many staff they should at least have the decency to send out an e-mail one way or the other to let people know where they stand. They sent one to me which asked me to contact them if I was now unable to work. In view of the current economic climate I am disgusted that they can treat people like this and hope Royal Mail see sense in finding an alternative agency next year!
