I fear that RM plans to make us deliver 1 D2D each day from Monday to Friday.
At present you are not supposed to slot them together so that one is inside another (although most people do).
We know their plan is to introduce 2 more per week without being payed for them and I expect the payment for the current 3 will be stopped eventually.
I can't express how much I hate D2D

Well, as you get told to prep that shite "in your own time - that's why you get the separate payment", as far as I'm concerned - if they ain't payin', the that shite's stayin'
Secondly, if you do have to do it off the clock, then it should be voluntary.....if you don't work, you don't get paid ( ie, you throw a sickie & don't call it in, etc ), so don't deliver it & don't fill in the payment sheet - why the f**k do the screws think we are obligated to deliver it?

I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

As you know i'm not a screw but.....
It's extra money,IF the deal is right.
And it can save your job,the more shite you deliver the better, the more you've got to prep the less chance your walk will be made heavier and delivery times longer.
At my place it delays us going out because of the prepping, and at times we CUT OFF!!
They're a pain,but we NEED the f***ers

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I don't need them, they are an absolute nightmare at our office at the moment.
Our county council has decided that the best way to distribute its newsletter is via D2D. I say newsletter, it is a tabloid size and thickness newspaper. This week I have had bags hitting 20 kilos because I have stuck a single road in each one.
A weight/thickness limit needs to be introduced to protect our health.

Why not keep your bags to 11kgs, organise safe drops or hand to hand drops, with your driver ( or compel your manager to bring your bags to you when you need them ) & if it takes you longer, collect the docket or break off......if you hit them with that, it is the only way RM will learn.diggers wrote:I don't need them, they are an absolute nightmare at our office at the moment.
