Re: people not getting paid!
Well it gets more and more complicated. I've now tried phoning the West Sussex number and thankfully Reed are actually as good as they always have been when I've dealt with them in the past. It turns out that that number is specifically for the SE Britain section of the Angard debacle and that you will need to contact your regional coordinator. Who knew we had regional coordinators?! Anyway, the West Sussex branch were very helpful and gave me the contact details for my regional coord (I'm based at Edinburgh MC and the number given is a Glasgow number). Her name is Fiona Whalley and can be contacted on 0141 2214566. The lady who answered advised me that that isn't actually her number as she operates on a mobile number but I have been given that number too. I won't publish it on here as I got told off before for doing that...
Might be worth your contacting the West Sussex branch and asking who your coordinator is and getting their contact details...

Re: people not getting paid!
Just spoke to Ashley but she is based on the southwest and I am based in northeast Middlesbrough. She was very helpful considering she couldn't look up my details as she didn't have access to them. She also told me that everyone who was ment to be paid Friday 9th december was going to get a payment at the latest tomorrow afternoon and should then it should be sorted for this friday 16th if no problems happen like last weeks payroll.arsi123 wrote:Hey,
Contact the West Sussex Reed office on 01903 229191. They instantly pick up calls, and ask for either Ashley and a Heather who are handling the Angard contract. I talked to one of them, and they were very nice to talk to and very helpful, and knew what they were doing. :)

Hi
The 01903 229191 is actually an office in Brighton and they can't give any information on other areas of the country.
You are better off emailing angardpayroll.queries@reedglobal.com or speak to your manager at Royal Mail and get them to call the regional coordinator. You are much more likely to get a response this way!

According to one of the stories about putting postcodes on your Chrimbo cards, they're employing another 3400 staff by "Monday" (today?!)... Thinking of paying them are they?!

Re: people not getting paid!
Hey all,
i started work as a xmas casual on the Wednesday 30th November at the Derby Mail centre. for that first week i did 5 hour shifts, totalling 20 hours which at a rate of £6.08 should come out around £121. I should have been paid for these hours on the friday 9th december but nope nothing.. instead my manager at royal mail told me at 6am( 9th december the day i should have been paid) at the start of my shift that i may not be paid and to email Angardpayroll.queries@reedglobal.com.. not what you want to hear at 6am in the morning knowing that you wont be paid. so anyway i emailed that address asking for laura as stated.. no replys( have sent out another today).
the previous day ( 8th december) i got a call to my mobile from a private number which i missed and then a call to my house phone. It was someone from angaard asking for my bank details to make sure that i would get paid. I asked them if i will be paid tomorrow on the friday for the previous weeks work and her answer was that i will be paid next friday for that weeks wages ( which i had done 45 hours total ontop of the 1st weeks 20 hours so 65 hours total.). I had to be waken up to take the call as i was sleeping for tommorrows shift so i was not thinking clearly and i never thought much of what she said.. which i now regret as i never got a clear answer about my first weeks wages.
I highly doubt i will be paid as alot of my work mates at Derby still are waiting to be paid, and the ones that have been paid have been paid the wrong amounts. some have even been paid £9 for 20 hours work LOL.
So i am set to start my 3rd week of work tuesday 13th to saturday 17th 6am-2pm shifts not knowing whether i will be paid or not, which i cannot afford to not go into work as i have no money and i am relying on this job to buy christmas presents as well as other bills.. so if i dont get paid this friday then it looks like angard may have ruined these plans and my family will be without presents
Anyone on these forums from Derby and are in the same situation?

This is an 'unoffical' Angard Staffing Agency forum
I have now worked for Angard for two weeks now at Portbury Outhouse. After the first two week, they didn't pay their staff so most did not turn up for the next shift. I have now been paid, 3 days late, and instead of the £220 gross I recieved £85. I tried phoning them but was on hold for 10 mins on my mobile so I tried my landline and chose the 'if you are a Royal Mail Manager' option and was still on hold for 10 mins again. I can get no reply from Angard via email or phone so I will not be going to my shift tonight!
The managers at Portbury have tried to contact them but they do not even reply to them.
I'm not sure what to do as I haven't worked for some time and needed this job, even if only for my cv, am I cutting off my nose to spite my face? I just don't want to work an entire night shift for £20 or perhaps zero.
I will take this to the national newspapers if they don't sort it out. A large number of people have not turned up to their shifts at Portbury due to this and the mail is suffering.

Re: people not getting paid!
There is at least half a dozen of us working the day shift (10am to 6pm) at Ipswich East [Foxtail Road] who are yet to receive our pay for the first week (due 30 hours/4 days of pay at £6.08 an hour).
I sent a strongly worded e-mail to Angard tonight, before I went out. In the time I was out, I came back and found they had left me a message. They claim that the money will be "paid into your account by midnight tonight". Whether it actually does or not, that remains to be seen.

Re: people not getting paid!
I have just checked my bank online and it shows that i have just been paid £50.16 by angard.. less than half of what i should have been paid on the 9th.
first 4 days of work starting 30th november - wednesday to saturday 3rd December i worked 20 hours total 9am-2pm. the pay rates for me ( 21+) should mean that i am owed £121.60 .. £6.08 per hour.
Does anyone have any idea of any tax or NI that may have been taken from the wages?
I havent recieved a payslip ( unless i get one tomorrow?) so im unsure as to why i recieved such a small amount.
I will email the paroll email address but i doubt i will recieve a reply so if anyone has any answers to why i have only been paid £50.16 then they would be much helpfull.

Re: people not getting paid!
Only that their pay wek is Friday to Thursday so they are unlikely to have paid you for more than the first two shifts and although that would be under the NI threshold they have probably taken tax at 20% off but that still doesn't equal what you've actually been paid, welcome to the waking nightmare that is Angard.
