Applied for Royal Mail Xmas Casual and still no reply

Post by katsurprise »

I applied for Xmas Casual at Tottenham Mail Centre in London on 9th September 2011.

I then went in for the interview at Old Vibe Bar on in Brick Lane on 4th November 2011.

On 2nd December I logged on my applications on Royal Mail Careers site and found it said security checks passed.

I haven't heard anything from Angard Staffing, I tried calling all their numbers and e-mailing them and I still can't get through to them.

Should I just turn up to the mail centre and hand in the provisional letter I was given at interview along with proof that my security checks have passed. I was given the days and times I'm meant to be working but not the actual start date.

Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I wouldn't bother to be honest.
The majority of us haven't even been paid and can't get any response from Angard.

Personally after the experience I've had/other people have had, I wouldn't even try.

But if you don't need to worry about travel or anything, you may as well give it ago, since you've nothing to lose!

Just as long as you'll willing to work with the potential of not getting paid. :arrrghhh

I hadn't heard anything until Friday and I'm supposed to be starting today. Rung up the mail centre and I'm on their list (in a way hoping I wasn't) so I have to go in. I forgot to ask about safety footwear but nothing was said so I guess I don't need to bring any? anyway, I'd say if you're not totally desperate for the job, don't bother chasing them up. If they hadn't of rung me on Friday, I would have just left it.

You do not have to go in - have you accepted the actual offer Angard send you by text? Indeed have Angard actually made the offer (I do not mean the provisional one you received at the 'interview' stage).

RM/Angard are responsible for safety boots if you need them.

Well I guess I must be the :Very Happy lucky one!!!! Applied in early October, recieved an e-mail from the now famous recruitment company Angard, followed all their instructions to the letter(excuse the pun!!!) I still have not found any dates or times for registration, even after e-mailing them on the two sites that were included on their e-mail, you guessed it, NO REPLY. I feel sorry for all the guys who have worked and received no pay, frustrating. I wish you all the luck and I hope you get whats owing to you, I won't be persuing a job through this agency!!
