What did you expect....front page of every newspaper?
A story has to build momentum.
If it interests the media they'll come looking.
Given the Sun's politics they were always going to go with the "Christmas mail may be delayed" angle over the mistreatment of casual labour.

Oh the Sun was really helpful! NOT

Another puff piece giving the opportunity for comments like:-

Do they give these temp workers a reading test. Already this week I have had mail for addresses elsewhere put through my mail box. I have lost count at the number of mail "Gone missing".

The postal service is a joke, they advertise 1st class as "normally delivered the next day working day". I can honestly say every 1st class delivery i have ever sent or received has never been delivered the next working day and items sent on the same day arrive days apart. Every christmas we get the same rubbish about mail taking even longer to deliver, OK but don't promise people and charge for a service you can't provide.

Next Friday? Thats strange, an item sent to my home by post three weeks ago still hasn't arrived. And one I posted two weeks ago was only delivered this weekend - by the person living at the same number in another nearby street.

Royal Mail are an absolute disgrace!

I guess being an exploited worker counts for nothing if your in anyway connected to Royal Mail.

Give it a chance the presses were still turning and the day was only 54 minutes old when you posted that. Thankfully the Guardian have run a story and its on here, regrettably the Sun also did but that has not received the plaudits the Guardian one has.

Ignoring the sun  Guardian is a bit of a pants one, thousands of you have registered since i put up the Angard forum,i estimate nearly 4000,i told him that,he mentions a hundred.
And what about having to buy your own boots.
He missed out on a lot tbh.
I've put a new one in here from the recruiter.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Good point missed that.
Ignore the nitty gritty on the forum when it suits, but if you're selling something, then inform the reps it's on a website.
If you've a good memory you'll rem what i mean. :whistle

Did anyone see this appear in the paper today? I clicked on article history below the journalist's name on the article and it states that the article appears in the paper on Tuesday 13th December.

Will be interesting to see where it features in the paper tomorrow if the information is correct that it is printed tomorrow.
