Over time worth it?

They offered me over time on my first week I kindly declined as 8hrs of labour and with just 30mins of break was too much. Now since its going to my 2nd week, with alot more experience...like taking your time etc... would it worth working 12hrs a day till the 23rd of dec?

Since we only have less then 2weeks, why not get paid more money right?

If you're doing the job for money and let's face it there aren't many other reasons for putting up with the crap you lot have to then i would imagine grabbing every hour you can between now and Christmas would be a sensible idea.
That's assuming you're being paid of course.
I wouldn't be knocking off 12 hour shifts unless i was sure i was getting the cash for it.

3.9 Break Times
Angard employees are entitled to unpaid breaks, typically as follows:
• Up to four hours and 59 minutes worked No break
• From five hours to six hours and 59 minutes worked 15 minutes
• From seven hours to eleven and 59 minutes worked 30 minutes
• Twelve hours or more worked 60 minutes

30 minutes in 12 hours!!!!! they're having a laugh. At least we get 3 mins half way through a 7 hour shift, at the depot where I work. I did a 12 hour shift on Sunday.....I took my normal break, 4 hours in, and then said I'd stay on if I could have another break before I started the overtime.
If I don't get paid, or am underpaid on Friday, I'm out. The treatment by Angard is appalling. I'm no-ones slave

It would be worth it with any other company where you know you will get paid, without hesitation, for the work you've done - along with adequate breaks. Chances are you won't get this with Angard.

I'd take the opportunity to grab all the overtime you can get, because you can never take this job for granted often as Christmas Casuals you get laid off well before the agreed Christmas date, sometimes it snows and you get sent home early because not enough mail is coming in. Take all the work you can get whilst its there because I can assure you the job is over in a flash and you will kick yourself for not doing the adititional hours when you had the chance.

I've been doing 5pm-6am for nearly 2 week now, Monday-Saturday. I get a 40 minute dinner break and a few 20 minute breaks for a smoke, drink etc. I'm working with the tracking team, sitting down and tallying parcels all day or either sorting the counted parcels into yorks.

Will tell you if it's worth it when/if I get my payslip!
