Angard-never again

I have worked at a sorting office for the previous 5 years as a casual, when Royal Mail organised and managed their own staff, and NEVER had a problem with recruitment, wages were always correct and paid on time, holiday pay and P45's always arrived when they should, and I enjoyed working in the office. I am now treat as one of the regulars when I go back there.

However, if Angard are doing the recruitment next year I will NOT even apply for a position there as they are a shambles, and most importantly they haven't paid me correctly. (or anyone else by the sound of it).

All in all, they have killed off what was a nice way of earning a few quid to pay for Xmas.

Agree with your comments totally, I worked as a casual previously, when Royal Mail handled this I was given approx a month's notice of my starting date!
I suppose the only reason they changed a good system was to save money, but judging by a lot of comments on this site, may have cost them dearly.
Do you know why the night shift differential was changed and who instigated that?
Anyway if you get paid - I'm living in hopes, have a good Christmas mate!

Can't help but agree with reindeer. Was made redundant in 2009 and this is my third year at RM. 2009 and 2010 were organised by local RM centre and everything fine and dandy. This year it was great to see the familiar faces, both MC staff and previous yeras casuals nad then, come the first payslip and you get to find out what a serious bunch of clowns Angard are. If I thought the recruitment process was unprofessional, nothing prepared me for the chaos that followed. Tax wrong. OK contact Angard on given numvber and e-mail. Ha bloody Ha!! no-one answers phone and, so far, no reply to e-mails. My current plan is to e-mail executive board members at Royal Mail - move the smell onto the executive corridor.
