It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Ive had threats of being made to go on other rounds harder than mine to show me what a proper round is like, again only banter (I think).
Depends how you take it doesn't it. If you feel intimidated by this let them know, if they say it again put in a harassment form. I wouldn't take 'banter' like that which is why I don't get too matey with management because when you get matey with them they can twist your arm while pretending it's 'banter'. For example a comment like 'Speed up or I'll break your legs' is arguably banter from a collegue but from a manager with the power relationship they have with us it quickly becomes a pressure tool they can use which can make your work life more stressful than it should be.
