HELP!!!!
I have to resort to using this page as I do not know what else to do.
I have been invited , by Email ,to attend for an interview for Christmas casual staff and have to book an appointment on line. On line site says " no slots available" despite accessing immediately on receipt of the email.
Tried the contact number for Angard recruitment as given in the email . Message says "all lines are busy please try again later" I have been trying all afternoon.
Found the number for Reed at the Northampton address which is also the Angard address , have spoken to 6 different people including main reception all of whom said they could not help but gave me the number for Royal Mail casual work , all numbers were different and all were incorrect.
As I do need the work can anyone please suggest what I can try next other than turning up at the sorting office unannounced!!

interview? you still have to go through security, then waiting game, e-mails text message, then chances are you will be turned away from depot because names not on list, my interview took place in october, still no start.shapeshifter wrote:HELP!!!!

You can't just turn up for work,you haven't had the interview yet,no slots possibly means the jobs are full,but keep trying just in case.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

One thing I'd be wary of. When I got the message to book a slot, I went through to try to do so.
At the top of the page, it said no slots were available, then there was a list of times, then at the bottom it said no slots were available.
I clicked a time at random to see what it would do, and hey presto - it confirmed my interview for that time, and confirmed in a message (which I don't get via email for some reason - but could read via the applications system).
The interview consisted of them checking my paperwork was in order. Be sure to take PROOF of national insurance. It said in what they sent me they'd need my national insurance details, but not that I had to bring PROOF of it in the form of a payslip/P45, etc. I discovered this at the interview, went home, got it, came back.
It's not really an interview to be honest. From memory, the only questions they asked me were if I had my own transport, and if I'd be willing to work nights. Good luck.
