STRIKE! Never mind joining facebook, I've had enough of this! We've taken all this s**t & now they aren't paying us what they said they would. Where I work, people have not been paid correctly & the pay rates quoted on the Royal Mail page are not being paid. Facebook serves a purpose, but a PROTEST is what we need!

So with apparently 120,000 people chasing 18,000 jobs and you think that the answer is to walk out and withdraw your labour? mmm good luck....NEXT!
I would just be happy to see this company given a roasting in the press and on TV that would satisfy me to see a few heads role at the top. For us on the ground already working and trying to earn what little we can for Christmas a strike is the last thing we need. Its 2011 not 1973

that's what should happen. All the causals should walk out and withdraw their labour.

I agree
keeping your head down and being happy to collect a pittance while being treated like dirt, is just what angard want. A walkout would shake them to the core
I don't work for royal mail because they wouldn't provide for me, or reimburse, a pair of safety shoes. If i was working there now and hearing the stories on here of people messed around and not being paid wages, I'd walk out.

I have been in contact with the daily telegraph, the idea of the facebook page is to show recognition to the media

I can't force people to join. At least I'm actually doing something about Angard. There was only one other person on this forum that had the balls to go to the media. I was the one that started the snowball effect of getting people to tell there stories out loud. After just 24hrs of being on this website I had enough support to get this story into a national newspaper. I went and spoke to the right people. The idea of the Facebook page was so we could show how many of us were pissed off in one place. It's one thing being annoyed but if you can show there is a collective group of annoyed people you have more chance of being heard so don't take the piss please

sorry can't agree with that nina, i think a lot of people contacted the media, your intervention created a collective response.

Re: Action Against Angard Campaign
NOW I (& the rest of the guys at my mail centre) haven't been paid for last week! Not even a payslip! The previous week they under paid us for the hours between 10pm - midnight.
I was angry before, ***********ing angry now!
We get 30 mins break for an 8 hr shift, so paid 7.5hrs. I read that some people are on 40 min breaks.
There was a manager at the mail centre going round talking to the casuals about pay issues & I thought that something was going to be done, but all he said was that this is the best number to phone.....Well yeah but we know the number blah blah blah!!!
Just for the record, I didn't say that we should walk out, yes I know that this is 2011 & there are loads of people "waiting to take our jobs". Actually in hindsight, they are probably the lucky ones. Yes we do need to protest. Facebook is fine but we need proper action. This Monday is the busy day at RM, so..... I have been asked to work overtime that day & if I haven't been paid by then......well if you think I will be doing that then........
