How long do the security checks take?

I've been told about a week, but also about 2-3 weeks.
I sorted out the problem with my application last Friday (all they wanted to do was confirm my name. Ridiculous, I know!)
But if it's going to take a few weeks to process the security checks, I'm not even going to have a job over the Christmas period.

yep same boat,resigned to the fact no work till after the new year, unless this snow comes in heavy as it did last year can't see me getting any work from this, it's a farce.
