I don't know where you are but you could try the West Sussex Reed office which called me: 01903 229191. There is an Ashley and a Heather who are handling the Angard contract. They seem to think they know what they are doing(!) Otherwise take a trip to the Northampton office with a jemmy and encourage them to pay you. I will be doing the same if they don't pay me.

How did you get on starting at Springburn? Did you get the job on the 2nd Dec or did you get turned away?
I got phoned last week and asked to start on the night shift on Friday 2/12/11. I told them the earliest I could start was Sunday 4/12/11 (tonight) and they agreed that would be ok. I got 2 texts and an email (which left the start date blank) with my contract & induction handbook. I'm hoping Angard have passed on the correct information to the mail centre and hopefully they are expecting me tonight.

Was the provisional one at your interview,if it was go with the email one, which i'm guessing was after, but contact them if you can to confirm.

You really are trying to make Angard look competent aren't you Postman? Tell me another one. You ought to be on the stage.... sweeping it up!

There's a difference between trying to make Angard look good, and trying to help someone who comes on here for help. :hmmmm But don't just take my word for it. Look back at Postman's earlier posts throughout this section (or anywhere else on RMC for that matter). He spends a lot of time (and money) running this site, to provide help for anyone who needs it. When you've checked his earlier posts, you'll see how mistaken you are about his motives.

After trying Angard for 4 times this morning I finally got through - the guy told me that if I hadn't received an email to not bother coming in - however on my provisional offer I was told that I was starting today.

Don't forget this is the first time i've heard from them since the interview 2 months ago - and only because I contacted them!

Angard are what they are, things will get better in time with them no doubt, and they will still screw up at times no doubt again,i'm not posting stuff about them,i'll leave that those who have registered.

I tried that e-mail address last month and no reply. Try e-mailing annette.evans@reedglobal.co.uk
She forwarded my e-mail to the regional coordinator for Angard Staffing.

Hope this helps.

What a load of crap.Attended the interview beginning of october, was given a provisional yes that day. Finally got the confirmation text and email last thursday also confirming the date, branch and start time.Went off last night at 10.00pm,get to gate, itercom through to security "im from angard staffing, christmas casual starting my fisrt shift tonight" next comes the reply "thats not for here thats for mill street in slough" Couple of minutes later i trundle off home as im getting nowhere.
Google mill street slough and theres no sign of any royal mail place there, its the road where i had my interview at a holiday inn express. So very confused and annoyed, will try my best to speak to someone at angard today but from the look of things im not holding my breath.USELESS!!!
