Hard-up football fans are being hit in the pocket by clubs charging sky-high fees for posting gifts bought from their online shops.
Replica shirts of Premier League stars can cost more than £60 already. But fans have to pay up to £6.99 more if they want a shirt posted to them.
Yet firms like Amazon and Play.com have been offering free delivery on goods for years while the Royal Mail would only charge £1.96 for posting a football shirt.
Wigan top the league by adding £6.99 for postage charges, while Newcastle add on £5.50 and Man United and Arsenal both add £4.95.
Last night a spokesman for the Football Supporters’ Federation said: “Fans are going to be annoyed if they think a club is trying to slip charges by them. It’s in their best interest to just charge a fair price from the start.”

Postage AND Packaging ...........................they're paying for someone to sit and package the shirt up.
Plus, these clubs need all the money they can get to pay for their overpaid players

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Fans ripped off with replica shirt delivery
I remember football was reported many years ago as the working mans relief valve after a working week. The amount that is spent on this sport now is making some very wealthy at the expense of the foolish, who act like lemmings in paying the going rate no matter what it is.....wether it be replica shirts or the cost of match tickets and travelling....at what point will people wake up and question the cost and real financial value of a game of football.
How anyone can be earning 25k or less a year and then gladly go and pay towards the salaries of footballers on up to 25k a week....for 8 months of the year........
We had to pay Adam Crosie`s salary and bonus which was over 40 times more a week that a postie each year.....that was not a choice posties could control, and not helped by a weak union top brass.
But football income is like a massive money factory for a select few funded by those that think it is part of their lifes...whatever the cost.
