I agree with the majority of comments. By all means talk, but announce strike dates to keep in reserve along with the seven days notice. It give us a bargaining chip but sends a clear message to RM bosses that if they don't come up with a serious offer, then they give us no alternative but to head back to the picket lines!

Yes we are willing to talk again, but while the talks are ongoing WE WILL SET STRIKE DATES AND WE WILL WALK OUT ON THOSE DATES.
Do :lfo & :cfo honestly think they can keep playing the same card "oh can we please start talks again" and expect us to continue working while they implement changes and have no intention of ever negotiating with the union?
f**k OFF AND DIE ANAL LIE-GHTON AND DOZIER

I think fresh strike dates have to be set asap, then agree and go to fresh talks.....after all, the offer to suspend IA was kept with the last set of talks & I don't remember DW saying it would be for every offer of talks - 7 days of notice should be enough to focus RMs mind ( especially if public sector workers are gearing up to kick off!
)
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

This is the one and only way we can go. If it's true that an agreement was reached then RM came back to the table to cancel it, how on earth can we ever trust them. Managers telling blatant lies seems to be the norm now, just ask a few guys in our office.Katy wrote:Yeah I agree; no more mr nice guy. Announce strike dates. Continue talks. Call off strike when, and only when, an agreement is reached.

so the TUC conference says all us public sector workers are pissed off and may well stick together for a winter of discontent and suddenly RM wanna talk again . . . . . too much of a coincidence surely
And I agree with the vast majority here . . . . OK arrange more talks but lets take control this time and set strike dates too . . . . no more messing about . . . we want results
