Well...my story with Angard is just getting better and better!

Got a text message this morning from reed.co.uk saying:

'Good Morning this is a message from Angard Staffing we currently have 5 places for the Solihull Delivery Office on 3/12/211 from 8am to 2pm if you would like to be booked in for this shift please call **** on ***********'

I didn't even apply to work at Solihull because it's an hour away on the bus and I wasn't even aware that they had vacancies!

I called **** and asked for details and was told the work is only for 1 day!!!! 1 DAY!!!!!! No thank you Angard.

I'm so angry right now.

Thats how Angard work! They are an agency that have a listing of "assignments" and a list of "bodies". Your "preference" to when and where you work and for how long count fror nothing, if you don't take that offered "assignment" then they move on to someone who will. Yet to ascetain how many you need to turn down before you don't get contacted anymore (as is the way with all employment agencies after a while).

Grr stupid bloody people. I phoned up on Monday after the disaster of that afternoon and was told by the guy to phone them again on Friday to check the status of my application, which I've just done and they are such f***ing idiots!! The guy who answered me today said that to check my application status I had to sign into the royal mail website and my application, which i did. He said that is the progress of my application anything else will be emailed to me in due course and then the jammy git hung up on me. Bluntly cut off the call. How bloody rude!! He could of at least been nice about it said there's nothing else to do or something like that but no, anyone who has applied for a job through Angard is not allowed to be treated with common manners.
So god knows whats happening with my application or if i will even have a job before Xmas.

When the status was security checks passed it did
Not move for 5-6weeks then when i conatcted them
It changed to hired and start date agreed they gave
Me a paper saying 5th december but no comfirmation
Isit worth going there or not?

I was supposed to start last Monday afternoon and have just been emailed to ask me to start tonight on the nightshift, emailed not called 4hrs before start. This is fine as I check emails on the go on my phone but IMHO if you want me to start within 4hrs email isn't the medium. I'll be tired by 6am tomorrow after being up at 5am this morning :)

Just been offered to work the early shift tomorrow. I had chosen the late shift but beggars can't be choosers and I need money so I guess it's an early start in the morning.

Just had an email off them saying I start tomorrow afternoon on the shift I originally applied for 14.00 - 22.00 :)
Lets hope its not a repeat of the 28th and I get turned away

No one that turned up was on the signing sheet but they phoned angard to see if security checks had passed and start date agreed then everyone was ok to start.

The job really is the pits.
