Offer of Christmas assignment - no shift time on email

Post by jibbysmum »

Hi everyone, I went for my 'interview' early October to work on Nights at Oldham Sorting Centre, I went with my daughter, we explained that we both wanted the same shift, as we would be travelling together.

We were told that wouldn't be a problem as we were the first 2 on the list for the night shift, and we would definitely get that shift as long as our security checks pass, which they did.

We both received texts and emails today confirming our offer, but my daughters email says she is on a Monday to Saturday early shift, and mine doesnt have a shitf on it at all!

Its like they've missed out the sentence with the shift - "The first day of your assignment is Start Date is 05 Dec 2011, your shift time will be , There may be an opportunity to work overtime, this will be offered on site locally".

I've tried every phone number on here and I've emailed them on 2 different addresses.

I really dont know what to do, and I'm worried my time is running out.

Anyone got any advice?

:pray

Give the sorting office a call, explain that you know your date and not your time and see if they have you on their lists. They might not have recieved their list for Monday yet but they will advise you whens best to ring back and check :) - I can't see you getting through to Angard so this would be your best bet!

The problem is it isnt actually in a sorting office. the sorting office closed down a while ago, so its a kind of 'pop up' site, they still have deliveries from there, but we're apparently working in the shed out the back.

There should still be a manager on site with phone access, try googling it or if not call royal mail customer services and see if they can give you a number :) - temps have already started so SOMEBODY must be in there! :)
