Hi I'm supposed to start at Worcester on 1st Dec, my original online application says I have passed the security checks but I have heard absolutely nothing from Angard to confirm my start date.
I emailed them last week - no reply. I also tried phoning them but a recorded message said they were too busy to take my call and cut me off!
I'm in limbo land at the moment, hoping I will get the confirmation before Thursday, but judging by other peoples experiences I'm not confident!

oh no! maybe try emailing them again? i emailed them today at 10.30, with the subject "worcester" and recieved an offer by 4pm :( maybe try emailing again?
i was getting really disheartened, reading all the horror stories on here and other forums, but sent them a nice friendly email (i think i apologised 5 times for adding to their workload lol) and they managed to do something useful ...

Thank you.
Actually, I just phoned Angard & the phone was answered on the second ring by a very helpful lady who checked my application and said my status said 'hired'. She typed an email to the relevant department asking them to phone me & email the confirmation to me.
Fingers crossed!

No, unfortunately not, even though my status says Hired & Start Date Agreed.
Wednesday night I phoned a different number, a young women took all my details & announced she was going to get someone who could help me. After being left on hold for 23 minutes I got the feeling she wasn't coming back & put the phone down, tried re phoning the same number but it wasn't answered again.
I rang the sorting office directly Thurs morning to ask if my name was on any list, I was told that despite asking Angard for a list of casual workers they hadn't received one and that as far as they were aware there were no 'casuals' starting Thursday.
I thought about going along anyway, just in case, but it's a 46 mile round trip, so I'd probably just be even more out of pocket.
I've basically given up any hope of hearing from them.
It seems to me that most people who have had offers are on the night shifts, I chose day shifts.
