Sick to death of having the phone put down on me.

Post by theblackdragon »

Sorry, this is a rant I guess. Has anyone else had this quite often? I just don't understand that if you can hang up or pick up and then put down the phone, then you're clearly around to answer it. I've been trying to get a decent answer to why I haven't been set anything for the last 2 days, when the majority of people where I'd be working (hopefully) have already started (the receptionist there told me and was a bit concerned :/).

I'm just not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing

I had the phone (08454607318) put down on me several times this morning. I contacted my local RM who said she'd check it out. She must have done something because it now goes through to the automated response. I hope this helps. :nana

Ah I dunno how to contact my local RM apart from going down there to talk to the receptionist, who told me to contact Angard. I've just been told to sit tight and wait until someone emails me :/

I'm told the email angardxmas.queries@reedglobal.com is the best way to get through to them at present. That was according to the message on the phone.

Well I've just tried that method so I will keep you all updated on whether I get any response from it! (Unlikely)

I emailed and now I've just had a phone call. Will be another week or two before I start.

Cannot get in touch with Angard any way at all. The phone says due to the volume of calls we are not taking any, please e - mail us. I have done that twice and they havent had the courtessy to reply to either of them.
I am only asking for my start date, all my friends who signed up have already started. I have been in and done one day for them but was told that was separate from my Christmas hours. It also told me that The christmas team would be in touch withing the next week, that was on the 9th November and yet there is nothing else.

I can contact no one.....What do I do.

Angard does not really exist as a company in the physical sense. The name appears to be a front for an agency account handled by Reed Global employment agency. Many of you have the telephone number 01604 4629381 . This is the number of a Reed branch in Southampton High Street, and some have received responses from angardxmas.queries@reedglobal.com ... Imagine the workload in dealing with the entire country's Christmas temps and how hard it will be to get service from them. It seems to me from those that turned up to one centre that at least one-sixth are still in the dark, out of 18,000 to 33,000 temps that might leave one office to cope with at least three thousand screw-ups.

this was my thinking i feel incredibly sorry for those people, as much as i wish they would get back to me, they must be having to cope with so so much right now and its not their fault...
i think they should take on some of the christmas casuals wanting jobs to lighten the workload! *hint hint* lol

to the op iv not had the phone answered to me yet just rings out, oh well
*sits and waits somewhat patiently.... *

That is the direct contact line for christmas casuals.
I've got through on that number, so try that (:
