They haven't sent me a start date...and even if they do, I'm still convinced I will get turned away again by Royal Mail.
Were you at Birmingham Mail Centre yesterday?

If you become unavailable to work for any reason, please email angardxmas.queries@reedglobal.com at the earliest opportunity to let us know.

In preparation for your first day, please refamiliarise yourself with the RMG Angard Staffing Induction booklet, which you read at your registration day and is attached to this email. .

On your first day, please bring proof of your identity (ideally including your photograph) e.g. Passport, Driving Licence. This is required for security purposes, when you will be given your photo ID to wear.

My online application status has also changed to 'HIRED AND START DATE AGREED' - which means absolutely nothing because I met a young man earlier today who's status was the same and yet his name was not on the list so he was turned away! I have also not received any information on when my start date is....
Glad that you are getting somewhere. :Very Happy

I'm still calling and getting nowhere but as others are moving forward it's worth carrying on calling.

Absolute disgrace the amount of people that were turned away yesterday

Had an confirmation e mail that I start on the 28th and 5pm, get there and my name isn't on the list, so I get told to leave the premises. Furthermore when I ask questions, im being replied to as if im a child and should just go away.

Luckily I know people in the right places to make Angard and those managers at Royal Mail feel very uncomfortable indeed.

Good for you loobyloo6 even my application status has changed because of bugging them, I'm now on processing security checks, though god knows how long my luck will last.

Paulston, I know you have already started contacting them but I suggest trying between 5 and 6, I had only tried about 5 times and I managed to get through to someone yesterday, who compared to the managers was nice and managed to help me out.

Hopefully we will be able to get the jobs offered to us soon and get, at least, soon money out of them.

Thx for the tip Kim, I shall keep trying tomorrow. I actually had calls answered twice after 5 today but was cut off twice before I said anything.

Decided to try and call before 9 and my call was answered at 5 to, same old fobbing off though. Provisional letter was no guarantee, blah, passed security, blah, leave it a few days, blah, will definitely have something for you, blah.

So my online status has said 'Hired and Start Date Agreed' for the past 2 days now and I still haven't been contacted to say when I will be working...

Phoning Angard and speaking to a manager is no use :arrrghhh

do people still want to work for angard after all this? I'm already looking for other jobs. If this is how they treat you when you're in the application stage , how bad must it be if you're an employee?

anything has to be better than working for these shysters

Well...my story with Angard is just getting better and better!

Got a text message this morning from reed.co.uk saying:

'Good Morning this is a message from Angard Staffing we currently have 5 places for the Solihull Delivery Office on 3/12/211 from 8am to 2pm if you would like to be booked in for this shift please call **** on ***********'

I didn't even apply to work at Solihull because it's an hour away on the bus and I wasn't even aware that they had vacancies! :mad

I called **** and asked for details and was told the work is only for 1 day!!!! 1 DAY!!!!!! No thank you Angard.

I'm so angry right now.
