You could try the West Sussex Reed office on 01903 229191. Ask for Heather or Ashley. They are "handling" the Angard con-tract. Or take a trip to Northampton and encouurage them to pay you. Use your imagination.

Had a search, all the MC's around my way for casuals it says on the RM website All shift patterns £6.50 per hour.
One one page it says the over 21's rate has to be confirmed.

I 'think' it's possibly because the techies at RM are f***ing useless.

Pay Rates

Age 16 - 17
Mon - Sat 06.00 - 22.00 £3.68
Sunday 06.00 - 22.00 £5.18

Age 18 - 20

Mon - Sat 22.00 - 06.00 £5.48
Sunday 06.00 - 22.00 £6.48

Age 21 +

Mon - Sat 22.00 - 06.00 £6.58
Sunday 06.00 - 22.00 £7.58
Sunday 22.00 - 06.00 £8.58
Well the Sunday pay is a massive reduction for me - with RM I got £10.64 now with Angard I only get £7.58 - we have worked under false pretences as they have never informed anyone of their pay. You only find out once you have worked, received a payslip (if lucky), or from here.

When I called payroll about why I only got £7.58 they asked where I was working I asked why that mattered as the pay rates should be national - same job Equality of Pay rights etc. They are not national so you may get more/less dependent on where you work for those amounts that are not basic pay.

There are definitely different pay rates between Mail centres depending on how desperate they are for staff (or not as the case may be) but there are also different pay rates at the same Centre depending on whether you are angard Xmas, Manpower, angard long term casual or permanent. I was, at times, working beside people in the same team doing the same work on all of those pay scales. That's one reason I resigned, it's immoral and I assumed it was illegal but perhaps not, nothing would surprise me any more in Cameron/Clegg's f**k-up of a country .

The casual workforce have less rights under Employment Laws, That is why they use casuals because they can keep pulling their strings and do as they like.
The ERA 1996 EMPLOYMENT LAW does not apply to casuals they apply to a contracted employee, A casual has what they call workers rights so for example the working time directive apply's to you but any legislation which imply employee then those parts of employment law do not apply.
When you talk about pay rights and equal pay then that depends on your employer which is not Royal Mail it is Angard, so if you are working next to a Manpower person and they get payed more it just means their pay is better.
Hope this gives you an insight into the mine field of law i know it does not help your situation and i do feel for you.
