job offer not honoured

Post by law777cat »

I am posting on behalf of my daughter. I am hoping members can give me some idea what to do or who to contact on her behalf. She attended an interview for Christmas staff and was offered a post starting on 28th November in Chelmsford. She was told this was subject to security checks and would be confirmed online within two to three weeks. She is still waiting and has had no response to three e-mails she sent to Angard Staffing. We cannot find a phone number to call about this. Meanwhile she now has no chance of a job for Christmas as she was expecting to take up this post. I think this is a disgraceful way for a company to behave towards a young person seeking their first job. Apart from anything else it is really rude. Can anyone help? Julia

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

All I can say is that I'm in the same boat as your daughter. Exactly the same except for the fact my job is supposed to be in Canterbury. Thoroughly confused. I would also like to know what's up here..

I'm also in the same boat as your daughter and the guy in the post above mine ^ Exactly the same except for my job is supposed to be in Birmingham starting on Monday. You could try phoning Angard on Monday on 01604629381, but you will most likely not be able to get through or you will get through and then be given totally useless information and then 'promised' a call back... :(
