Hy just been given another number- got about 6 now, latest I have been told is you havent got security check by 28th, ie provisional start date, you havent got the job, what a disaster/waste of time, have basicly given up on this, dont think i'll bother again next year.as an ex govt employee/job centre staff, i have never seen such a cock up with Angard, cant see them getting this contract next year,
is unfair on unemployed people, especially with kids, maybe not correct that, at this time of year when everyone is struggling, especially the way the employment in this country is at the moment, people trying to find a few extra jobs/extra money for christmas, pay the bills, and just to survive..

Angard Staffing are a joke of a company. This is me at the end of my 3rd week of working with them and they still haven't paid me the correct wage yet. Also i want to know why they feel it is ok to discriminate by age, but not by gender?, race?, Also they never answer phonecalls and when you meet any of angards staff they all say the same thing, 'I don't know' or the classic 'i'l get back to you on that' and they never do. From what i understand they are now in breach of contract as it states in the contract 'You will be paid for hours that you work', Which i definately am not getting. Does anyone have any info?

Re unpaid wages, you are correct it is Breach of Contract, but this does not seem to boter Angard as they have now committed this "error" hundreds if not thousands of times in the last couple of weeks.

Suggest you google "Form ET1 complete online", this is the formal way to register a dispute with an Employment Tribunal.

Form is easy to complete and you can submit it online.

Key point is "Illegal With Holding of Wages", you should quote this as your main complaint, also quote the clause from your contract which says you will be paid weekly in arrears.

If you want you can fill this form in for multiple people if others at your site have same problem, all they need to supply is name, address etc.

Suggest you email Angard and tell them you will be submitting Form ET1 unless they commit to immediately correct previous undepayments, it seemed to work for me. the threat of someone involving an External Gov't Agency seemed to make them sit up and "almost" get things right this week, someone there seems to know when to sort things out.

You could also tell them you will be registering a claim in the Small Claims Court for Unpaid Wages, it all adds to the pressure.

although the text relates to consumer issues the process is the same to claim money from an employer.


Phone calls are too easy to fob someone off, emails are more official and you have a definite record of what was said and what was asked for, make sure you giuve them a "reasonable" deadline to respond in.

I recently worked for a training company where I had no problems with pay, but had some other queries regarding lack of effective management support. They also were a company that never cared about the employee and fobbed me off by avoiding communication, telling me what I wanted to hear and not following through or bullying me down. My own actions and raised protests did nothing, but the minute I challenged them with a "by the book" approach, they started to sweet talk and be a bit more helpful. Its a shame we have to stoop to these levels sometimes, but in the private sector there are so many companies who just want to pocket their keepings and don't give a damn for the workforce. It needs to be challenged from time to time. Corporate Britain is a disgrace a lot of the time :(

My daughter attended interview in Chelmsford for Christmas post early October and was given a conditonal offer subject to security checks. Website status is still showing interview booked. She has e-mailed numerous times and got no reply. She should have been starting Monday now it seems she has no job and no money for Christmas. We have no idea what to do - its a terrible way to treat young people.

It's not just young people, it's anybody who has applied this year. Try emailing angardxmas.queries@reedglobal.com It got me a phone call from them. Take no notice of website statuses. As soon as the position is available it will be updated then. Many of us haven't started as soon as we would have hoped for. Tell your daughter to hang in there.

I am supposedly due to start at Canterbury Mail Centre on the 28th. I attended an interview on the 1st and was given a provisional offer letter then and told that I would receive an email within the next few weeks confirming that I had the job and the I'd passed the security check.

It's now the weekend before my job starts. and after attempting to reach them at Angardxmas.queries@reedglobal.com to no avail (several times, it's just sent me the automated reply, even after sending the email back with "Unresolved Query" in the subject line), I've heard nothing from Angard or anyone and the RM jobs website still says "PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS". I'm a little confused by this. Does this mean that I don't have the job after all? Or does it just mean I will start a little later? Should I try phoning them, or what? (I'm assuming I won't be able to reach them until Monday morning (the same day as my job is supposed to start, no less) at this point.

This is ridiculous. I have another job interview on Tuesday morning for a job at Sainsbury's. The hours are much less than this, but if I get an offer for this job before I hear back from Angard (I wouldn't be surprised if this happens at this point), I'm just gonna tell Angard to shove it. The other stories I've already read on this site about not getting paid on time/at all etc. are seriously putting me off this job altogether.

I know it's infuriating, as they're usually engaged, and they often fob you off. But keep trying the Email, and phone numbers. It seems to be the only way to get any response from these fools.

It's disgusting how Angard are treating people! Even the Royal Mail Mangers can't get a proper response from them.

Lucky! I keep getting the 'due to the sheer volume of calls' answer message. I'm supposed to start at 2 but am still on 'PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS' and have had no word from them. Ugh. :(

I'm in the exact same position and tbh from what others have said on here and have been told on the phones this morning I think we would get turned away. :/ so useless.
