3 weeks no pay yet

Post by ralf999 »

Not even asked for a P45 form or to fill in the P46 form. Nothing, nothing, nothing.

You call them they pick up the phone and don't say a word and the call gets deducted from your mobile balance.

This is the greatest and most blatant rip-off I ever heard of.

3 weeks bus tickets and night shifts and being tired and not a single penny received. And not a single person whom you can contact in the company. The drones who open the gate know nothing and there is no manager around.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Most departments in Angard have been really hard to get a hold of as of late (Xmas team is impossible). E-mailed Payroll today though regarding where to send the P45 and they atleast sent me a speedy response, I hope this brings you some good news. Can't believe you haven't been paid in 3 weeks though...

Hi

You can download your own P46 from the HMRC website :-

http://search2.hmrc.gov.uk/kb5/hmrc/for ... formId=760" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Fill in Side 1, ticking box A, B or C as appropriate, sign it and send it to Angard.

I can't promise they will process it though, at the centre where I worked the whole shift filled in P46s that I printed off, handed them to RMG manager and everyone was taxed on code 0T, as Angard did not process the forms, assuming they got them.

Should get my final payment tomorrow as I finished last Friday (had enough of being lied to and messed around).

Have emailed Angard numerous times this week asking them to confirm details of my pay this week as I was underpaid the week before (4 days instead of 5 - "missing timesheet" apparently). Needless to say zero replies !

I have also emailed Royal Mail Head Office twice this week, again no replies (common theme maybe).

Was told last Friday by RMG manager that despite us only having 40 mins break from day we started, that Angard were going to deduct 45 mins as they can only work in 15 min units, so they expect everyone to just accept that they will lose 5 mins per day up to last Friday when breaks were increased to 45 mins.

RMG manager seemed to think that this is perfectly OK and could not understand why we all got upset about this !

The overall experience has been appalling and is not acceptable, RMG and Angard should have been better prepared to handle the known level of activity, this situation is inexcusable.

Have advised Angard by email that, tomorrow, if I do not receive payment for every penny I am owed, that I will :-
submit Form ET1 to Employment Tribunal Agency for Illegal With Holding of Wages (can be done for multiple cases if necessary)
register a claim in the Small Claims Court
email my MP
email the MP where the centre is located
email the Minister responsible for Postal Services
advise H&S Exec of the "dubious" practices at the centre where I worked.

I will not be ripped off by Angard or RMG, they seem to think that they are immune to any form of comeback or criticism.

I will certainly fight them to get what I am owed using every option available to me.

I do not live that far away from Nothampton, so as I have nothing else to do tomorrow, apart from probably visiting local court office, maybe a personal visit to Angard's/Reed's office is in order so I can aske them face to face, why they think it is acceptable to treat people like this.

Assuming I do not get arrested for asking for what I am legally entitled to,I will keep you updated.

Hi

Received my 2nd ("final") pay slip today.

I think best description is "Close - But No Cigar".

Correct Tax Code, for me, was used - seems they finally processed Form P46 - Good

I was paid for amount I was underpaid last week - Good

I was paid for 5 days worked last week - Good

Incorrect breaks deducted for both weeks, under-deducted for week 1, over-deducted for week 2 - Bad

Accrued holiday pay not paid - Bad

No P45 enclosed - Bad

Overall I am still underpaid, but value is decreasing, but bottom line is it is still wrong.

I sent them an email several times this week (never received a reply to any emails ) telling them exactly the times I worked, the breaks I took and telling them I would pursue them for "Illegal With Holding of Wages" if they did not pay me everything I was owed.

Did my emails work?, based on the fact that I am still underpaid, probably not (made me feel better though), did they get it almost right by design, I doubt it, did they almost get it right by accident, probably. how can they screw up the break deduction for both weeks, it is not that hard.

Will be back sending emails next week asking for my accrued holiday pay and asking them to correc the break deductions and to send my P45.

Key thing is I want the P45, value of what they owe me is now almost worth forgetting, but I need the P45.

I will keep plugging away at them
