Absolutely, you would have to keep turning the handle constantly while walking and delivering letters though :Very Happy

9.90 miles today.....got Shin Splint in my leg again....this job is crippling me
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

i dont know what pedometer you are using but usually 1000 steps equates to half a mile so 2000 would be a mile 28500 would therefore be 14 1/4 miles(not 14 k) this would be an incredible amount to walk slightly better if it was on the flat obviously and was it without a break and what time did you take to walk it our furthest rounds tend to be 11 miles on a bad day best 6 on a light day the longer walks take you into excess and you have to book o/t so the distance is over about 5 hours we still have to walk about 4 miles an hour betwwen doors and gates to keep up its very hard going at the moment ialso dont think we have been given correct footwear for these distances.

You got me thinking now :hmmmm

It cant be 14 miles, no way could i do that. I figured 1 step is 50cm (give or take 1cm) so 2 steps is a meter, so divide 28k by 2 which is 14000 meters walked, dived by 1000 for KM = 14 km :nana

However not ever step is going to be a full 50 cm stride such as steps etc so it prob less than that in truth. My head hurts now :left:
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

But do you burn the same amount of calories regardless of how big the steps are, and therefore that's why some pedometers just count the steps and it doesn't really matter how far you've 'actually' walked, just how far you've 'technically' walked with the number of calories you've burned off with the number of steps?

I would say my head hurts now, but it always hurts :confused

They usually work in 1000 steps every half mile maybe yours doesnt i cant believe you walk over 14 miles so maybe it is km which would mean you wakled 8 ish miles that day thats ok, unless is was in the welsh valleys
there is one overtime grabber at our place that must walk about 20 miles aday he does 2 1/2 roundssome days CRaZy
