Data entry at Stockport how hard is it?

I am due to start data entry training next week, some people I know havent been took on after their training, they told me it was very hard and lots to remember, what can I expect to be doing when I am on training so I am well prepared, dont want to fail.

Hi I worked there last year and did the training, i'm just working from memory here as it was exactly a year ago :)

First don't worry there is quite a lot to take in during training, but it's not all thrown at you at once, I personally trained for a week and for about 4 hours a day I imagine these both differ for different shift times though, and maybe are the length of the shift, over fewer days? (unsure on this as i'm only going on what I worked but I worked the morning shift 7am-12),my first day covered the basics similar to what you did in the assessment, then I learnt more each day with a test at the end which i think you get 2 chances of passing? again it tests speed and accuracy like during the assessment.

I didn't personally feel it was rushed, you always get to practice in each new section you learn about before moving on to the next bit, the people who were training were nice and helpful and friendly too.

Can't really go into too much more detail about what you actually learn, as there is a lot to it but again don't worry, in the group I trained with the vast majority of people passed just fine, I think only 1 or 2 didn't and that was out of a lot of people :)

Things may have changed slightly and it may differ from group to group, but this was my personal experience with them :)

Laurie what did you do for the rest of the time in that training week? I mean are you only there for 4 hours and then go home?

I only ask since I'm due to be on nights and relying on a bus, if the day ends 4 hours in that'd be about 01:30am and a bit of an issue.

I was only there for about 4 hours yeah then I went home I did work the morning shift though :) I imagine for nights the training would be longer and maybe be the length of the shift over fewer days than me? :) would make sense, but don't quote me on it! :)

Uh oh! I've heard stories of dozens of people failing the training as they're not getting above the 80% target in the first week.

Also a bit gutted to find out that although we're getting paid for the training.. it's not full time work.
