Attended Crown and Mitre on Monday 10th October - Security Checks passed 2 days ago (14/11) so I rang up Angard for more details.
They told me they would phone me when the job is due to start and post out details. The man also said that the provisional start date of 21st Nov was only a guide (i reckon it will be 28th at least). By the way does anyone know how long training lasts and is it just part time?

Cheers

Exactly the same as me cheshirecat1966.
I'm assuming this whole "training" thing must be new because I've not done it in recent years. Your normally shown around the mail centre before you start. Where to sign in & out, toilets, fire exits, canteen etc etc but thats about it.

Also I've never known anyone start before the last week in Nov/start of Dec before either so I wouldn't expect a call for next week.

For anyone who's applied for Carlisle I've just been told that the start date for lates & nights is November 28th. Emails should be going out today or Monday and if you've not recieved one by then to ring up on Tuesday.

No mate not heard a thing. I must have tried calling them at least 20 times yesterday & when I eventually got through the person I spoke to said they knew nothing about it and to email them, which I refused to do because I was out at the time.
She then took my phone number and assured me that someone would call me back........suprise, suprise they never.
Tried a good few times again this morning and it's just constantly engaged

Cheshirecat1966 is their a 6 - 2 shift ?
In previous years it's been 6 - 12, starting a week later than the other shifts with a fraction of the hours. For that reason I've always given it a swerve, even though it'd be so much easier for me to do an early shift.
