What should I expect from a typical nightshift as a casual?

Post by Motherwell18 »

If Anguard have sorted everything out, then my first nightshift as an xmas casual should be tomorrow night at Eurocentral.

I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what I should expect to be doing?

you will be sorting mostly amazon parcels (eurocentral doesnt deal with every day mail as in letters,, well not at the moment anyway).
the process is taking a yorkie (sort of cage ) full off parcels and sorting them into there destination post codes, when these are full they are then taken to another section to be sorted into specific areas.
it wont take you long to get the hang of it m8,, it looks a bit hecktic when busy,, but its realy not,, eurocentral is well run for an outhouse.
there is a sort off canteen,, but it has a kitchen,,2 microwave's 1 fridge 2 kettles,, so remember take some grub with you mate.

Hate to sound like a woman, but what should I be looking to wear?

I was thinking joggers, polo and trainers and take a hoodie just incase...

how cold is it likely to be?

First of all: don't expect to find anyone who knows anything. Royal mail staff will send you to angard and angard will send you to royal mail.

And don't expect to get paid. Casuals working in Nuneaton haven't seen a penny since they started. On Nov 7.
