After a week of a packet avalanche, a tidal wave of flats, and a mountain of letters, today was relatively light, wonder why.
All post by me in Green are Admin Posts.

Yet another nightmare of a day, code sorted mail didn't come down until the second lorry (3rd time this week) and only for the really heavy rural duties so, because I wasted 1 hour waiting on my trays I just left behind 1 hour of delivery, TBH I'd be complaining about the MC if I was the DOM and charging them for the OT it costs everytime they do this.

Another bad day. Got back to the office and sorted out the carded items just befor 15.45. Just going out the door and a crew on 1 of the vans arrived back. There was also someone still out, been given a key to the yard becasue he was doubling up. :shock:

Had a packet delivered today by Royal Mail.
The driver told me he was being paid 7hrs regular o/t for 5hrs work as the DOM wasn't allowed to authorise Sunday o/t. :shock:

:shock: why the f*** would you work on a Sunday, our packets are failing already and that's before they start increasing for Christmas.

No IPS today, they've put nights back in for now and some people are coming in for a couple of hours docket before their duty. Was out of the door at 9am, that has'nt happened for a long long time(apart from Saturdays) It was'nt that heavy but the call rate was high. Last letter 13.15 back at the office 13.30.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I think our duties are meant to be a max of 4.15. When we get hammered we cut off and take it back. Even managed to get large packets delivered yesterday & today :shock: Got a feeling we are going to get hammered the rest of the week. I'm paired up with a runner so we arn't hanging about...........well he is...... for me. :Very Happy
Next year I'm going to decide if I want to continue doing this job because I can't see me carrying on like this for the next 20 years or even the next 10. It'll finish me off for sure.

Gaps everywhere today. Still didn't get done in time due to using HCT and getting out later than we used to, but comfortable and not shattered as usual.
