Thank you POSTMAN, your answers (sort of ). Yes we do have WSM and we have had a revision. I have found out today that the union rep has stopped the change in times because, I assume, we weren`t going to go to 39 hours ! Even though this would have been quite easy to do, wouldn`t it ? just take 12 minutes off every day, or is it more complicated than that ?

'Revision' consists of sequenced mail in trays and more lapsing. 39 hr week for full timers.
Every duty (almost) has a different start time. Great for reserves, like me, I have to consult my list every night to decide what time to set my alarm for. Also, it means I need to know what duty I'm doing the next day, and often I don't know.

Having a revision and having WSM separately does not give you the right to have a 39hr week.
You have to have a 'WSM revision' to get it.
That may be the case or it may be the case that RM are acting the arse. Sounds like your rep is on the ball anyway with him stopping the start time changes.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Ah, nothing is simple in RM is it ? I have no idea if it was a `WSM` revision ! I will make enquiries.

No 3pm is Royal Mails aim in Urban Areas and 4pm in rural - but thats all it is.

There is no specific time beyond everyone being being entitled to a delivery 6 days a week in the USO.
