Ture, if theres double slots on a particular road i normally take them all out to make life easier..DGP1 wrote:That can only work if you have only 1 address per slot otherwise it get's confusing.kawoxux wrote:You say treat them as live mail, but it tends to be standard practice where I am that you only take them if theres other mail for the house, then take the ones that are left (very few - very rare a house will not get any post all week) out on Saturday.scoobydo79 wrote:Prep and deliver 20 percent of them each day and treat them as live mail. Re: unlimited D2D
DtD can be managed by the postie, just as long as at least 20% a day is done. IMO his rep should have put this point across (he may have done anyway) then calculated 20% Dtd for that day, both indoor and outdoor timescales and added that to his actual finishing time in order to get a true reading.Sherpas Rule wrote:Had to laugh at a guy that was moaning about his round being tested, the day it was tested, he hadn't been told so was complaining that 'he'd already done the d2d for that week'. Well maybe if you did the 20% a day like we are meant to you chump, it wouldn't have been a problem! Park & Loop + D2D = even more mail left as less time on delivery!

Why a fifth a day, it's a 6 day week.Sherpas Rule wrote:Is that official? Re: unlimited D2D
Could it be the "all week long we moan about the workload but on a saturday it's ok to cut the job up and finish early"....syndrome?
Like you say flyer...it's a six day week....why would you take it out over five?

Re: unlimited D2D
This was the case under the old D2D agreement when D2D was a five day product with saturday kept back as a contingency day.Sherpas Rule wrote: We aren't allowed to deliver d2d on Saturday according to managers, this was the case even before park and loop came in.
D2D is now a six day product while delivery staff have the ability to manage the delivery of the items themselves the planned workload(IWT&Pegasus) is spread across the 6 days....your manager needs updating.

How should I manage my D2D delivery?Sherpas Rule wrote:Is that official? • You will receive your D2D mail by start of duty each Monday.
• Prep at least 1/6th into the frame each day starting from Monday and deliver it (Note: this will be at least 1/5th on Bank Holiday weeks).
• Items should be placed last into the prep frame after any walk sequenced or manual mails.
• Items not being delivered that day should be stored in boxes or trays at the frame
• Whilst D2D workload is planned on the basis of spreading it across six days a week, you may flex your approach locally, in agreement with colleagues, as long as all items are delivered to delivery specification.
