All the phone numbers that we are aware of are in the 1st post of this thread.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I'm in the same situation and I've phoned this number a few times, but it just rings for minutes, it doesn't seem like anyone is there.

Edit: Finally got through after about 5 or so mins of letting it ring, they said I should be receiving an e-mail early next week because "they're only contacting people a week before their due start date". Seems very odd to me, especially since they're causing a lot of unnecessary anxiety from people unsure about whats happening.

None of these numbers work. No-one is picking up at the 0845 numbers, or 01604818809, and 01604634319 is constantly engaged. I'm supposed to be starting on Monday and it's now Friday lunchtime and my application progress is still on "PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS". Do I just turn up on Monday? I don't want to buy steel toe-capped boots just to be told my job has been handed to someone else.

I got through to them yesterday on the 01604 629 381 number but it took me ages..i dont think you can turn up for your shift without your confirmation and you also need your security checks to be passed.

Just got through to Angard and told that the Christmas team were in chaos, either no one there or very short staffed. Am due to start Monday and have thought of just turning up with ID and go for it as the man stated on the phone - have rung the local delivery office as well but no one replies. Just cannot believe this situation.

I finally got through to someone on 01604634319, she told me that even though I'd be offered that shift because they haven't done the check in time I've now lost that position, and will be put back into the pool. I nearly cancelled an interview next week for another job because I thought I would be working for Angard. The woman at the interview said the checks were "just a formality" and that they would easily be done in time, rubbish!

I gave them a call this morning and they said id passed the security checks and someone should contact me regarding the job. At 10 past 4 today a fit sounding girl rang me up and offered me the job in Port talbot mail centre, i wanted to be in swansea but she said port talbot has an extra 3 weeks work so i took that.

All the best! :)

Applied for Christmas temp work, I get texts and emails asking me to book an interview online. I do this immediately, yet the site keeps on telling me "no slots available" no matter when or how often I try. Tried to contact them - no replies from phone, automatic email replies are not a lot of use. Come on, Angard.

James you are lucky not to have got through to them. Get yourself a job with a decent company instead.

russell2011 wrote:Ok I rang them up just now and a girl answered. She said there is some missing documentation and thats why there's been a delay with my application. She asked if I had any missed calls from them but I didn't, of course  That's silly though because I know for a fact that I brought everything I needed to my interview along with photocopies. I never got turned away from the interview which I would have if I hadn't brought everything but I never got turned away and I was even given a provisional offer letter... So what documentation could possibly be missing??

She said that she'll pass it on to the security team and someone from there will phone me back within the next hour but what are the odds of that actually happening??

Now I'll just have to wait and see....

HI Russel, after saying about your documentations ans provisional offer letter, do security team give you a ring, I wondered that what happen after that, because i am in the same situation , can you give me a advise, what to do next.

I attended an assessment on the 4th November for the Data Entry Job in Plymouth, But am still awaiting to hear as was told the start date if successful would more than likely be the 24th Nov!! any ideas on how I can find out? When I log into my application it just keeps saying Awaiting Security Checks this has been like it for a while. I am unable to contact Angard on any of the numbers it keeps ringing out and I am not getting a reply via email
