would love to know how many delivery points the walks have ?
between 500-800 dp i think

is that 500-800 with 2 posties to a van? at our office we have 1200 -1350 and then managers wonder why it ain't working using the trolleys! like i said earlier something stinks
No mate our pairs are probably doing the same number of dp as yours. Wolverhampton is a densely populated area only 7/8 miles across, perhaps this aids in getting the mail out before 2pm.

No private cars here at all, lwt (x2), 2pdas, 2 sets keys in evry van. 5kg bags only for blocks of flats etc. These are the facts here.

Its not perfect and yes some people wish that the changes wouldnt have happened, but the fundamentals of the things we have all cried out for, are working here.

1. A virtual full time office, no member under 36 hrs.
2 No PCOD
3 Weight off shoulder.

The only thing that wasnt taken up by the members was more Saturdays off. Thet work the wallington system here and when all members were asked, over90% wanted to stay on same duty system, (democracy rules )

So basically, there are SOME offices with working revisions, but not many. Unless someone from one of the offices that Dingo listed can explain why he's wrong, then I see no reason to doubt him. It may be a short list so far, but it's only fair that we list them, and any others that anyone knows about.

To be honest. I think it's a very good argument against these revisions, that there are so few that are working, when there are far more, where it isn't. Don't you agree? :hmmmm

Andy I have listed a number of offices which have had integrated delivery method revisons which are working from one Royal Mail division , there are 8 other divisions.

I have also been honest enough to mention 3 which were not working at the moment for various reasons. But all the same not working.

Now Is it any wonder that more posters do not post saying their revision is working when if you do you get accuse of lying , being in managements pockets , betraying the members and a few more things.

Now I have said there are a significant number of delivery method revisons which are not working , no one in the CWU is denying that. My own personal opinion is Royal Mail's delivery Best practice policy has failed and the science does not work. however the complex issue is what replaces it as some offices could get stitch up just as much as from saying its now all down to collective bargaining in each unit

Now this site has listed 62 or 63 offices which are failing , we have no method of proving that every office in that list is still failing as some would have been resolved under the PIR.

The National talks commence again today for two days of intensive discussions and there are very
Senior managers in Victoria Embankment who do believe the delivery strategy employed by the old guard is not working.

I think it's time there was a little bit more honesty by both parties in these "intensive" chatterings - if there has only been 380 revisions out of 1500 then there is obviously something wrong. If the revision process was working then it would have been rolled out over more offices surely? I mean if you have a winning combination wouldn't you want to employ the same tactic nationwide. Especially if you have 10,000 vehicles parked in a field somewhere - allegedly!

Just as the argument for offices who do not publish their effective revision there must be many more revisions that haven't worked who aren't on the list - mine is one and two others close by have gone into revision, one of them twice and still they aren't working and they too aren't on the failed list. Of course given time any revision will be tailored to fit BUT will it be using the agreed method or a set of hybrid methods not agreed nationally and utilising the old methods, cycles, weight on shoulder etc - which begs the question "is there really anything new under the sun?"

It would be nice to hear of a working revision from the members who actually work there.
To be honest that's the only opinion i'm interested in.
Everyone else appears to have an agenda.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

My office had a non-sequencing revision, no delivery methods or park and loop because it is nearly all rurals. It is working fine but only because almost all the hours that were taken out have now been put back in. I think total savings were about 12 hours against planned 100 hours. At least we got the £200, even if it did take 8 months to get it :nana

fish so you don't have an agenda ? Now if the criteria is that we only now listen to members from offices well lets look at the 18 page thread on Failing revisons. Wild Rover listed Cumbria , Livingston and one more office , Brox listed Leeds and Dumfries , Brody listed 4 offices , DGP heard BT13 BT7 , Music for Essex heard Leigh on Sea and Benfleet,Boddy beyond Repair listed 3 offices , Peterloo listed Sailsbury Andover Eastleigh Romnsey and he heard Sailsbury, Andy said every EH postcode , Unhappy Cumbria said I heard Denton , Noth West Postie said I heard Leigh is struggling. On top of this Postman persuminly through emails put 9 offices up.

Now you don't then moan your only interested in listening to members in the offices well to me that Is double standards as and you are only too happy to hear offices are not working through heresy and rumour but when I tell you the reports from the office your interested. Postman and Teeb both liked your views but I always believed they want a fair and open forum where both sides of an agreement is heard. Clearly you cannot have on one hand a criteria where you accept heresay and rummour and third party reports on offices which are working and then ignore and refuse to accept a report which is detailed on offices which are working. That is unless the real reason is you have an hidden agenda.

Now if you and others on this site want only a site where you only hear what you want to hear and you can all moan and groan to your hearts content fine and I will leave the site but if you want an alternative view and sometimes for me to give people on here updates and information when they have none then don't then say what I put up should not be listen to or worth considering.

Cause if you use your criteria for an office working to offices failing your listed would be cut dramatically.

Dingo, when I read fts post I presumed he was refering to a specific post from a member who has posted with no confirmation from actual delivery officers from the office he referred to despite requests to confirm the dubious facts.

However if you still choose to believe that BT 2010 is a viable national proposition and that it is working then obviously your agenda is not obvious to the rank and file. Of course not everyone will have had the pleasure of the one and a half hour dissertation on "The Big Picture" - how much input did the union have on that little nugget.

CWU Postal Conference 2011
This Conference recognises that despite the best intentions of the CWU, Royal Mail's Delivery Best Practice Strategy which includes Park and Loop, Georoute, IWT, model week etc. has been a disaster. This Conference acknowledges that throughout the UK that integrated revisions have had a major effect on Quality of Service and our members have suffered as a result of Royal Mail's aspirations to introduce unworkable and unrealistic targets.

This Conference therefore instructs the Postal Executive to renegotiate a new revision process which takes into account:

• The ability to agree a representative traffic week rather than a lower traffic week.

• The agreement should ensure that local circumstances are taken into account.

• No agreement to 100 EP indoor or outdoor.

• Review of Park and Loop in its totality including where it's applied.

The list is not exhaustive.

This Conference instructs until there is a further Delivery revision agreement that no further revisions should be agreed.

London Divisional Committee :whistle
These are strong words....disaster,unworkable,unrealistic...could have come straight from the knackered revisions thread. :chuckle
Why was it withdrawn dingo?
Change of heart?
Why,when the members on here tell you these revisions are a disaster, unworkable and unrealistic...do you get so defensive?
As for me having an agenda,do me a favour.
I'm not the mover and shaker dingo, you are. :cuppa
