Absolutely unbelieveable! How does your manager expect to earn peoples respect by acting like this? Unfortunately common sense isn`t so common.

We`ve had people moved during IPS because they were talking, yet the "manager" can walk about and talk to his "pets" about football etc. I`ve been in a number of jobs before RM, including the Forces, but never in my life have I come across such an incompetent bunch of so called managers as I have in RM.

Good luck with it, but can`t see him pursuing this, someone is bound to tell him to catch himself on.

What a decent office should do for someone in your position is show just how much of an arse your manager is making of himself.
Next time he pokes his head out of the office everybody should be sitting down sorting.
That would be funny and he would get the point very quickly.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

How many items did you sort during the 1 minute prep test, as this is the only agreed standard ?

I take it that it was a low number if you are been conduct coded for it.

I always sit down to do IPS, although not being very tall I find it a bit of a stretch to reach the furthest pigeon holes.
I've often thought the ideal solution would be an adult sized baby bouncer which would give the perfect combination of comfort and maneuverability.

Must have my old dum. This is the sort of crap he came out with. Conduct code was his middle name.

Hmmm. Sitting on chairs. I have to STAND on one to reach my packets, much to the amusement of colleagues. Reckon management would have a seizure if they saw that.
