It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
OK let's list the integrated revisions which are working in London , Forest Gate working and all received the money , Acton working received the money , West Kensington working and money received , Ealing working and recieved the money , Hanwell revision introduced and working fine and money paid. W10 revision introduced working and money paid. The Hyde NW London working ok and first £600 paid. For the record all of these apart from the Hyde have receive £ 800 for the sequencing revision.
Now just to balancing things , Paddington had an integrated revision which was introduced 3 weeks ago and was due to go in two phases but management introduced the IPS in line with the final phase and with no training and there have been problems getting out and due to Paddington being outhoused in North West London (NW10 ) and the A40 was closed twice last week there have been problems. The Reps have been adjusting the walks and the loops and trying to resolve under the roof issues. However the revision is 3 weeks old. Shepard Bush was introduced last weeks and there have been problems another office which is based in NW10 and both parties are working to put that right. Kiburn was introduced about 4 weeks ago and there are a number of problems , no one is getting out on time and a number of cut offs , there is a meeting next week with divisional , area and local involvement to try and resolve the problems.
In addition the 16 offices in South East London have had revisions and been paid the £200 , 2 offices in South West London have recieved the £200 , 3 offices in East London have recieved the £200 , 15 offices in North London have recieved the £200 , 6 offices in North West London have recieved the £200 , W1 , WC and EC1-4 Delivery offices have all recieved the £200 and introduced a revision. All of these offices are working and clearing.
Each Divisional Rep was asked to give a report to CWU HQs ensuring that each area rep gave them a full report on each office after getting that report from the Local reps.

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
When we say revision, we mean the full monty, park and loop, HCTs, LCTs, sequenced mail, double prepping, no cycles, no cars on delivery - can we say the same for our London bretheren - or are they those other sort of revisions, table top self starters with little or no substance.
Your list was pretty short dingo in comparison to the list of failing revisions. We had our revision a year ago and still problems exist to this day. It seems that when one problem is attended to it creates yet another. Our second revision to encompass indoor work has been delayed because there are no savings to be made apparently - which has delayed the £600 and £200 payments probably until 2013. Does the Area and Div Reps know of this - of course they do - have they spoken to the members and expressed concern and a willingness to address the problem -NO - but the elections are due any time - bet a pound to a pinch of crap there'll be a letter shortly.
As a matter of interest how many real revisions have now been completed across the 1500+ offices?

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
Offices that have been paid the revision money aren't necessarily working.
We have had the full money and yet cutoffs are rife and the o/t tally through the roof. Check your facts Dingo, are the revisions working in these offices or have the office managers been WORKING...cooking the books?

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
The ones that I have said are working , I have also put up the 3 which are not working.
Now Dvbuk all the integrated revisions in London have park and loop , HCTs ! Ban cars , and geo route. In fact some of the offices I have listed from West Londom are some 6 to 8 miles outside their post code area across some the most congested roads in the UK and all of their walks are park and loop.
Now I am all up for A debate over those offices which are not working but let's not then criticise and moan or slag off offices which are working as that is pathetic.
Now there are at the last count 360 delivery method revisions which have been introduced and this site has 60 odd of those which are not working or was not working at some point. Now that approximately 18 per cent of the offices which have introduced a delivery method revision ie CDVs. Now I am not saying all the others are working but at this moment you cannot say they all not .

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
Not at all hence the national talks but whilst there are significant problems in some delivery units , it would seem that if anyone puts up offices which are working they ate instantly ridiculed and taken to task , is it any wonder that some choose not to put up if their office is working.
Equally like I said ove 360 delivery method revisions and there are only 60 odd offices which are listed in the failing thread out of 360.
Now I know some posters prefer this site to be all about how bad things are and how terrible the union is and off course they and rest of the staff are not responsible for anything but that's is not the always the truth.

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
We are almost 2 years into the agreement - if you include the interim arrangements and yet only 360 out of 1500 offices have actually carried out a revision and there is a definite cloud over any savings issues or indeed any gains whatsoever from the modernisation.
When we talk of revisions not working we speak of people ignoring the agreed equipment for the duty, leaving LCTs in the office and carrying bags over the subscribed limit in order to complete. It would undoubtedly work in some areas but it is not the panacea that RM envisaged and I predict it never will be.At the current rate of revisions is it any wonder that RM want to extend the limit of the agreement for another 2 years?

Re: OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION
How much money has been saved in each of these 'working' offices? This is not a criticism I would genuinely like to know?
The whole point of the revisions was to save money was it not? So IF in theory every office in the country had fully working revisions how much better off financially would RM be than if say... they had just left everything as it was before ie People getting thier mail before Tea time, more full time experience staff, walks of a reasonable and healthy size?
Call me crazy but I can't understand how any of these revisions, even when working correctly, save money?

welshy808 wrote:To be honest it all depend's what you consider a working revision. From Royal Mails point of view it might be just about savings, from a member of the work force it might mean one you are able to do on a day to day basis without bullying, from a customers point of view it might mean one that get's your mail to the delivery point within the USO.
to be a truly working revision it should hit all 3.
If Royal Mail are upset that there are not more revisions listed here why doesn't a senior manager sign up under their own name and list the offices that are working
Dingo's already answered says he's 'union' but they speak the same language as royal fail so theres no difference London is a special case so i here
