I can assure you that very senior managers believe the door to door strategy has not worked , it has not grown the product as they had hoped and quality is not good due to individuals not getting sufficient time under revisions and of course some treating the product still as an after thought.
And this is ALL managements fault, just like it was last time, especially local managers with the QOS of it.
Have these 'senior' managers not learnt from last time, and what are they prepared to do about it.
Have they no idea what really happens on the shop floor ffs,and who is f***ing it up,they know RMC is biased tho.
If RM are in denial over the problems offices are facing then maybe they should use D2D quality as a measure.
A properly run,well managed,well resourced,happy little office shouldn't have a problem with D2D quality...should it?

It is pathetic when someone keeps on putting up past comments , if you read what I said in this post and what I said then it is the same I believe we will get the 3.5 % due to a number of factors not least the fact that Governement cannot afford to have another row and especially with the EU commission decision being mad around that time.

But let's get things straight circumstances change , how many of us realised that the very future of Royal Mail would be decided by the EU commission 12 months or 2 years ago.

If we want to put up past posts how many of you complained that CWU was taking colleague share which according to all of you guaranteed to be paid to use for the lump sum money. Now had the CWU not got that money into the lump sum payment that money was due to be the final instalment of colleague share and it would be worthless.

How many said that a 3 year deal was a mistake? How many said BT 2010 was a flawed agreement without any real substance? How many said that 75/25 FT/PT was a pie in the sky figure, unmanageable and not policed? How many thought that the union didn't have the members interests at heart and used undue influence to obtain a YES vote. How many thought that RM would renege on the deal? How many thought that a new respect was someones wet dream and that full involvement was a sop for the rank and file?

Well a lot more people think that now!

The reason i posted it was simple....

In March 2010 you knew the 3.5% increase was linked to "Plan On Track" but would not acknowledge the fact because it was bad news for members.
The summary of the agreement sent to members did exactly the same thing with all of the bad news from the agreement.
Why would a union systematically hide bad news from members?
This goes beyond putting a positive spin on something......it is simply deception.
Why would a union be so desperate to obtain a Yes vote that it would lie to it's members?
Do you seriously believe that this lack of transparency is behaviour expected from a senior union official or indeed from a union in general?
This is typical management behaviour and it's the reason members struggle to tell the difference any more. :cuppa

And the award goes to…

Wednesday 16 November

It was a great night for our Door to Door sales team after it picked up the Contact Centre Sales Team of the Year award at the National Sales Awards 2011.

Attended by more than 800 of the sales industry’s finest, the awards, presented by comedian Dara O’Briain, recognised the art of professional selling and its contribution to growth, confidence and profitability.

Strong sales growth
The team was shortlisted after demonstrating how it achieved strong sales growth in 2010/2011.

Judges decided that employee engagement among the team was high and this had contributed to its success.

An honour
‘I am so pleased that the Door To Door sales team has been recognised for its dedication and commitment to delivering a world class service to customers,’ says Samantha Mason, Door to Door sales and development manager.

‘The award captures the team’s achievement in delivering a year-on-year improved performance in revenue results and customer satisfaction.’

Looks like those very senior managers are spinning you a line dingo...or someone is spinning something. :whistle

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well I thought we were being set up for the "impoverished employer" speech just in time for the pay negotiations but lo and behold we are a success. Makes you wonder though exactly how gullible are those people supposedly looking after our best interests, if it is our best interests of course: has the CWU actually seen the books yet or is it still a question of a new respect and trust?
