I'm not condoning reps "overeagerness" to agree revisions though a lot of these revisions seem to have had at least some "persuasion" from Area and above...why i don't know.
What you also have to understand is that the net result of stalling revisions will not necessarily be good revisions but the watering down of the revision process altogether.
We've already seen that with the extension of the BTA into what looks like 2015 and later starts being bought for revision payments without the benefits to members that delivery methods, new attendance patterns and the shorter working week brings.
The longer the revision process drags out the more chance you will have of being caught in the nuclear option which will come when RM is privatised, changes imposed not negotiated and the union effectively sidelined.
It's not a pretty picture i'm painting but it is realistic.
We will be unskilled labour in a world full of unskilled labour.
The changes will be rapid and severe and no amount of union blustering will save us unless the membership can be organised and galvanised to fight.
Can i see that happening with the leadership we have and the legacy of the "deal of the century"?
No. :cuppa

You are absolutely right Fishtank,
Deep down we all know we are nearly privatised, the signs are all too clear.
Lets at least get the money/shorter week out of them-it's not much for what we are going to go through but when the axe falls who knows what will happen to the job.
Employment contracts without a doubt will change anyway(it should'nt affect the 39 hour week though) :confused
The CWU heirachy have'nt been in contact with members for ages, only Bob gibson!
Always be one step ahead, play their game but be wiser. Revenge is sweet.

an interesting update

i have confirmed that the planners are not trained to addminister 100 % bsi values as they are not trained to the level of industrial engineers

to work with bsi, you need to be industrial engineers

LIGHT BULB MOMENT

SO THAT IS WHY THE REVISIONS ARE FAILING :Very Happy

After finally gaining access to ALL revision data and resourcing tools iv discovered in IWT we are currently performing at 120% BSI (indoor) across the week. Yet out revision is failing because there isnt enough time to do everything. The question i would like to ask is what do i do about this?

Im thinking of telling the DSM that anything over 100bsi is detremental to our members welfare and so not signing off the PIR, do you think i could do this?

That's a serious had over Ron,i would of thought the DSM wouldn't give a toss, has to got to at least DIV if not HQ. And 100% is still a no no as well.
How did it get through unchecked anyway?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Not sure, i was off for a couple of months and there seems to have been a fair bit of tweeking going on. Still we still have the PIR to be able to raise it.
