Anyone got call for MDEC Stockport

Hi,

Did anyone who had assessment in late october got any call or status change yet? Despite of having an assessment, till last week I was again and again getting invites for interview again and now status has changed to Application Received. Same with my friend too. We had assessment on 25th October. Haven't yet received any call, so does that mean its all over for me?

Hey viki, i had my assessment in October, Got an e-mail about three weeks ago saying my assessment was successful and that they they would contact me in acouple of days....still heard nothing. I have called ANGARD and although she was very polite, she ultimately did not tell me anything. In another e-mail from angard about two weeks ago i was simply informed that " you will be contacted in due course". So if you and your friend have passed your assessment, just sit tight and wait for them to call. Alternatively call them... There is about 4 numbers you will find for ANGARD on this website... If you only had your assessment a couple of weeks ago then I doubt you will be starting next Monday, thought that's just my opinion - don't count that as fact! Who actually knows how these buggers operate?

As far as I am aware, from talking to people at the JobCenter they were contacted a couple of weeks ago, or at least had their status on the website changed to "HIRED AND START DATE AGREED" even if they hadn't been contacted.

I had mine in late September/early October and it is only just today turned to "HIRED AND START DATE AGREED", I've yet to be contacted. Mind you.. I phoned them a lot and was quite pushy about getting through to someone who does know something (as I kept hitting a brick wall previously). They appear to be staggering start dates over the next few weeks up until December.

I got a start date for next week... But, I have done the job before and I think it is going to be a short course or refresher course of perhaps a few hours; the real job might start the follwing week - 21st Nov.

People should not worry too much about the status on the Royal Mail website because MDEC Stockport has only started recruiting via the Royal Mail website - they still operate mostly in the old Reed mode.

Relax, if you had passed the assessment well and your security checks out then you will be contacted soon - up to start of December, I think. Good luck!

My status still shows "processing security checks" and I passed my assessment on 25/10 with 94% / 763 tph. I only opted for weekend shift. Do you think I stand a chance ? Which shifts did you opted for ?

I chose the late shift -I think it is the busiest. Weekend shift is popular with studens andppl with m-f jobs,sotheremight be an element of competition there.

Your assessment score is fine but remember there are peoplethat have done the job before and some will have scored highly in the assessment.

having saidthe above, MDEC operates differently to the xmas mail centre casuals set up. I doubt the websire updates is amongst their proirity right now. I was at the office in stockport last week -they are BUSY. I will check my online status for you, if I can remember the password.

Hang in there -if you have not heard anything before end of November then you can worry. The start dates are staggered... (pot luck?). But new recruits tend to get more week than those on refresher courses.

I worked there last year finally got the call this morning and iv been told i'll start on the thursday 1st December for training, I know last year I started training in the last week of November (I think :S) then started the Job properly the week after.

Don't know if my training will be the same as last year or not? as iv worked some odd shifts for them just throughout the year so it's still quite fresh in my mind, we'll see what happens.

It's actually worked out well for me as I couldn't start earlier than that due to a change in my circumstances! i'm on the 7am - 2pm weekdays shift :)

I'm just glad iv got some shifts as I was late in applying thought i'd lost my chance tbh!

MDEC Stockport...havent got any call yet...i called 0161 no. and at least they told me my security checks are cleared and they will call next week mon-tue...although online it still says security processing...its a confusing situation....i know many people already got calls for mdec stockport in the last 2 weeks...

I finally got a call will be starting 3rd dec at mdec stockport...haven't yet got any email / sms but they said they will send a reminder just a day before start...strangely people have got different start dates, one of my friend is starting 26th nov and few are starting 28th nov and 1st dec...wonder why ???

Hi, I got a call a few days ago saying my training is starting on 28th Nov at 5.30. I assumed it was 5.30 PM, but I'm now starting to worry that perhaps they meant AM.

Is anyone else starting on this day, or know when training times are??
