READ THIS - Processing Security Checks / Passed Security

Post by Mikey456 »

Right theres so many people coming on here daily asking the same question over and over. If it says PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS then just wait until it says PASSED SECURITY CHECKS then give it a week if they don't contact you then ring them up on this number 01604 629 381.

I did this and i got a call back 4 hours later with the job offer.

So do this or read one of the other numerous topics that are the same as yours before you post. It clears the place up a little bit.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Your probably not starting till the end of november like most of the mail centres, i got lucky as our mail centre sorts all the parcels from Amazon as it's 15 mins down the road.

I've heard on the grapevine (not been able to confirm yet, sorry), that the "outhouses" (temporary extra sites) will be processing Amazon by next week.

I used the number at the top which no one answered, so I gave the 08454607318 a bell, and got through to someone, they concurred with how my security checks were processing, but gave the reason as to why i'd not been contacted yet as some kind of system error, said they would try to get back to me Monday. Who knows how long they would of taken getting round to contacting me if i'd not rung them up!

I called them and apparently they don't hire people until a week before their starting date. I'm meant to start on the 28th and therefore wont be contacted until the week starting on the 21st. :s

I was told exactly the same when I called today.

That's after being hung up on no less than 3 times.

My application status still says "Interview Booked" though. Apparently this is fine. We'll see. :cuppa

What sort of notice is 1 week, terrible.
Did you ask them whether you're security checks were passed or not? If not I would call them back and actually get them to confirm whether it's being done or not.

They haven't even started my security checks, I wasn't even on their system. So I assume all my (confidential) documents are lying about somewhere waiting to be input in their system and checked.

I was told this was fine though as I don't start till Dec 5th. Who am I to argue? Even though I don't believe them.

I'll wait and see if the status changes next week because if they aren't checking my security details by this time next week it's pretty clear I stand little chance of starting by Dec 5th.

Though to be honest I'm almost past wanting this job. It's a full time job just to get it!

I'd have much less of an issue if they just did a lottery draw for these jobs. Being one of the first in, first out with "Provisional Offer" on the first day of interviews, I'll be beyond annoyed if I've not got a job at the end of it.
