Wouldn't surprise me ... i'd be more surprised if the marquee wasn't there to be honest, it was in the managers car park last year wasn't it ?
as well as the marquee, (as i was told) last year there was 30+ trailers storing mail there when they are only allowed about 14 under insurance regulations, the s*** would hit the fan if they were grassed up for that.
a manager broke his leg last year scrambling through and over the top of yorks inside one trailer while trying to work out what kind of mail was in there, if it was 1st class 2nd class, dsa etc, u couldn't make it up, they thought it was a great idea to use trailers to store mail, but didn't have the brains to log what was in each trailer or what date the trailers filled, so they didn't know which trailer had the oldest mail in.

theres already a high demand for yorks, all drivers are urged to take any empty yorks from DO's back to mail centre,
if anything, i think this xmas will be worse than last.

Mount Pleasant already full. The Inward Foreign was supposed to be transferred to HWDC a month ago according to the 'plan', but most came back after 1 week (the day after Moya's visit coincidentally) because HWDC couldn't cope and is now piling up in the basement as managers don't want to put on OT to clear it. I suppose because that would affect their bonuses.
Still they can blame the failures and backlog on the overrunning building work, even if it doesn't snow.

I know mate its a joke close East london outward down move half the work to romford and other half to the Mount an hour journey sitting in traffic both ways, they have now opened up e15 hub and romford now say they can't cope so the work is now going to the Mount what a joke, The agreement has now been broken so the work should come back into ELMC.

So Mr Walsh and Mr Ward what are you doing about it you signed the agreement you should not need us to tell you the agreement has been broken you should be telling Royal Mail they have broken the deal ?

Ha ha empty york's what are they??? The time of year when firms are crying out for extra ones to send higher volumes of mail on, they are instead being used to store undelivered packets in DO's. Its a shambles and lessons should have been learnt last year, I was shocked to see the volumes of undelivered parcels on xmas eve last year.

The proportion of card board sleeves being used seems to be creeping up, I reckon within a week or so the normal sleeves will be like gold dust

ilkeston mail centre failing

Post by upies »

The reason ilkeston sorting office is failing is because the line-managers are bullies and are lazy...and all they think about is their BIG Bonuses
