I attended my interview on the 26th of October and got a letter with a provisional offer letter stating to start on the 5th of december, they said they would contact me within 3 weeks to confirm but if i didn't to turn up anyway which sounds bizarre.

However going though this thread, I wonder if I should take the initiative and ring them first?

Here is the number to ring:-01604629381

I work for Angard and based on my experience and in my opinion they are a completely disorganised and unprofessional company who treat their employees in an appalling manner.

In light of their repeated disinterest and lack of care for their employees, I am going to quit.

It is simply not worth the repeated hassle and stress to continue working for such a shambolic company.

Now that would be a kick up Angard's ass,, and RM's too for that matter :left:

That was last years night rate (£7.76) when I started as a Christmas Casual, I guess good work, being kept on all year and being available at short notice counts for nothing anymore as I have dropped down to the £6.58ph rate since being shunted into Angard.

Completed my weeks notice today.

As expected there was a problem with payment of my first weeks wages, only paid for 4 days instead of the 5 i worked (I was not alone).

Angard blame RMG, RMG blame Angard, neither company will take responsibility to sort out the issues.

Conflicting explanations from RMG management and Angard, who should I believe ?

I should count myself lucky, at least one person on my shift got nothing at all.

On the shift I worked it seemed that Angard achieved 100% consistency! - everyone's pay was wrong!

I suspect that things were so bad and disorganised, that Angard paid a "block" payment to a large number of people, ignoring actual hours worked, breaks and tax code etc. If they did why could they simply not tell people this instead of the conflicting stories I heard from RMG and Angard today. The truth is always better than fabrication.

Just need to receive my final weeks wages plus the day not paid this week, hopefully next week, but guess I will be even lower priority now, but I can dream!.

Begining to wish I still believed in Father Christmas

Our line manager (RM) told the whole 2-10 shift to take the first 30min to go see the angard rep that was there today to get the short paid workers sorted, He was angry at the way they were being treated by angard, after the half hour was up he called us all to the canteen and held up a sheet of paper and asked us to write down any grievences we had in the way angard treated us,, he was taking this sheet/sheet's of paper to "His" manager,, he said this just not right,, and if possible he is going to take it even higher if he can,, 3 cheers for the RM line manager :Applause :Applause :Applause

Anybody able to confirm what they have been paid for night work? I signed up for night shift at the interview because it was meant to be 6 nights a week at £8.11 per hour and £10.51 on Sunday nights. I was meant to start on Dec 4th but got a phone call on November 16th at lunchtime to start that night. I've had no written confirmation from angard and my application is still at 'Security checks passed' status. My partner was meant to be working the same shift but she's been emailed to tell her to work earlies from November 22nd which she can't do cos we've only got one car and she's still in her other job for 2 more weeks. If they're also going to pay us £6.58 an hour as suggested above then I am going to tell them precisely where they can stick their job and I will take them through the County Court if they don't pay me for the 3 nights I've done. I've worked for 40 years including for about 6 temping agencies and never come across such an arrogant and incompetent organisation in my life. By the way I found out on Friday night that there would not be any weekend work as RM had a full weekend team so we weren't needed but I only found this out from one of the permanent staff, the manager just said we were to come back in on Monday night and not work over the weekend.
