Re: New revision:new start times?
7.00am-2.48. 7.48hr day,39hr week, 1 in 6 Saturdays off. Told by management and cwu the only way we can get an extra Saturday off in every 12 is to lapse a duty every Saturday, which would give you 3 in 12 but for the other 9 Saturdays take out extra work! Have been reading posts about other offices getting extra Saturdays and cannot understand why it cant be done across the water, N.I,. Union rep is'nt the brightest and management know it and play him something rotten. I thought Reps were meant to be trained up. Set to go live on Monday but now moved to the 22nd, 3rd time its been put back. Is there not a cut off date were it cannot be implemented til after Christmas?

Re: New revision:New start times?
Our revision in Darwen is now in but start times vary Mon,Tue-7.30 Weds-6.30 Thurs-6.00 Fri/Sat-6.30 all with 14.30 finish times. Dont see why we cant have 6.30-14.30 everyday these various start times play havoc with your body clock plus keep having to adjust alarm clock daily

Buy several alarm clocks.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: New revision:New start times?
Our revision isn't in yet. At the moment we start at 6.00 on weekdays and 5.30 on Saturday's. We are being told that once the revision has started we will more than likely be starting at 6.30 or later. Having read the 'state of play' document it points out that Royal Mail are misleading members into believing that we should be on later starts when there isn't any need. Have we got the right to keep the same start times if the time the mail comes into the office isn't changing?

It will depend if there is sufficient work to keep everyone on IPS once the sequenced mail comes in.Beamer wrote:Our revision isn't in yet. Re: New revision:New start times?
Yes - The BT2010 agreement promissed 3 payouts linked to 2 revisions. 1 of £200 only, and 1 of £600 followed later by £200 for the same revision. Pro rata of course - check out the 2010 agreement in downloads for details.walsallpostie wrote:we started this at walsall and was promised a bonus is this true

No - we got £400 from CS on ratification of the agreement the other payments are linked to at least 2 revisions for each office (in deliveries) during the lifetime of the agreement:
Lump Sums
The payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time employees) consisting of 3 lump sums will be paid as follows.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of their first non walk sequencing revision.
£600 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of the walk sequencing revision.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit when the Walk Sequencing revision has been implemented, and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 6 week bedding in period.

Various part time start times, 7:48 to 9:00 am.
'Revision' consists of sequenced mail in trays and more lapsing. 39 hr week for full timers.

Re: New revision:New start times?
Just a quick question on this. Our times are changing to a 6.15 start from next week, should we go down to 39 hours ?

Your answer, you will get to 39hrs when you have Walk Sequencing Mail, and 'possible' later start times.

I think the answer you are looking for is this:POSTMAN wrote:

Royal Mail are attempting to move the start times in line with the introduction of walk sequenced mail.
They don't want to do a walk sequenced revision as this involves paying out £800 (pro rata) in TLS and a pay rise with the introduction of the 39hr week.
It is called cherry-picking the bits of the agreement they like.
