It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think some were operational from the 7th November.

Silly question alert:When you and other MCers say you fail, does that mean the work does not get done till the next day, especially if it's a night shift.
So us guys get extra mail on one day on top of the normal days mail.
Yes. If an MC or RDC fails, the Mail misses the lorry, and ends up on the next one. But if it fails badly enough, they stick it to one side (at RDCs at least), until the current Mail has been sorted, and then start on the backlog, if there's any spare time.

Been told that the dom in our office has said that there will be no christmas duties, packet duties and spare staff being sent to an MC over the christmas period.

I just burst out laughing. If its true our office has f****d up christmas before it's even begun.

Letter to all D.O.s

It has come to our attention that there is a vital flaw in RM's plans for deliveries over the winter season.

Apparently it is FATHER Christmas that is not real and the actual Christian festival Christmas IS real. Seemingly it is celebrated EVERY 25th of December by millions of people in this country and is a really big deal involving gifts, letters and cards being sent via the postal system generating billions of pounds for the economy.

Who knew eh?

Pity this Father Christmas is only a figment of the imagination, he could've been handy if we land in the sh*t.
Suppose we'd better get our heads together sometime before the 25th of next month in case it affects our bonuses.

Love Moya
