SECURITY CHECKS PASSED...But still no word!
I have recently attended the registration event for Xmas staff for the Royal Mail center in Glasgow back in 3rd of October and they said they would contact me within 3 weeks after disclosure Scotland security check procedures have passed . Three weeks later, no word and I check my Royal Mail account and it says "SECURITY CHECKS PASSED" and I thought that I would wait longer, and now 5 weeks have passed and I still haven't heard anything from the royal mail... Should I be worried?... What should I do?...Help, please??

I am very surprised to see that a statistic number of applicant's security checks are being processed. What is your opinion of the situation? Do you know how I can directly contact the Angard Xmas staffing team?kezzie wrote:now you know how I feel ! you've waited two weeks longer than me mines still processing security checks when I log in.

I am in the same position as you Lesley, i had my assessment on the 18th October in Birmingham and i have looked on the website and it says security checks passed. i have tried to email Angard Staffing and its an automated message every time. It says "However, if following the potential solutions does notrectify your query please email back using " Unresolved Query" as yoursubject header".LesleyM wrote:I have recently attended the registration event for Xmas staff for the Royal Mail center in Glasgow back in 3rd of October and they said they would contact me within 3 weeks after disclosure Scotland security check procedures have passed . It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: SECURITY CHECKS PASSED...But still no word!
I phoned the Xmas team today and apparently the said that they are still in the process of security checks and that I am to be patient and they also said that my post for the royal mail is not guaranteed, despite my security checks passed, and attending the registration event.
I phoned them at an earlier time and they said that they'll be sending out contracts and that 9 times out of 10 I will get my job. None of this makes sense.
Can some one give me a straight answer and tell me what the heck is going on?! Do I have to worry about my job for the Royal Mail?! I am so confused
