PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS
It's been three weeks since my registration event at Birmingham Mail Center and I haven't received confirmation via email regarding the provisional Christmas casual job. When I log on to the Royal Mail site my application status is processing security checks (I know that's self explanatory however is this normal or should I be worrying)

Re: PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS
Personnally if you havent heard anything i would assume you havent got in and keep looking for a xmas job elsewhere. Half the time management are to busy in the office drinking tea/coffee and only leave it to go to the bathroom

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Phew ! I'm sure that's a good thing then if two people haven't heard back from Bham Mail Center. I went on the 18th October and due to start on the 28th November.

Yeah mine too! I went at 1pm on the 18th, start on 28th...if they get their act together that is. I called them up earlier and they said to wait a couple days and security checks should be passed. Then they will contact me.
