why whats he doing to do ??
Well you could ask him to speak to the dom on your behalf. That way when you cut off the dom cannot say he was not informed and issue a wilful delay, simples. :Very Happy
you have speak to your dom by yourself :nana

Errrm dont think so.

He is only 30hrs so only has to prep his own walk... no sorting needed, thats full timers job.

im on 30hrs and we start at 8.2oam and are out the door no later that 10.30am.

There's this "it happens in my office so it must happen everywhere" thing again.
It's a big business with 1600 offices and probably 1600 ways of working.
I don't know how his office works, whether he's slow or superpostie....neither do you. :cuppa
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

just tell them to test it - we had a manager come in from another office outwith our area to test us - i got him on the 2nd week of this and was tested from start to finish - (my manager says i sort slower than the rest ) the boy was decent enough and when i finished i was still 20 mins over on my time and he agreed i couldnt have done it any quicker and my sort rates looked ok to him -- we have never seen him since then

I just tell the manager that I'm not going to complete the round, I take what I can and he has to get someone else to do OT, problem solved. Looks like your manager has serious issues with his/her job and is trying to milk you for all it's worth.

In regards to not knowing the round, don't you get 3 days training? If not refuse to do it.

at our office we all take mail out and cut off, that mail then goes out next day, is this wilful delay? i spoke to a guy on the round said a relation had sent birthday cards, i told him his oart of the walk was going back because not enough time. this mail went the next day, surely this ain't right. the guy now never speaks like its my fault. the job is now worse than ever.

not at all, you just work blind once you have been walk trained at the start of your employment and then that's it.

If you cant get any pointers on how to tie a duty up also then you will just have to wing it, you get nothing as i say once you had your couple days training.

That is ridiculous! How can they expect you to go blind, prep the round and complete it on time. We even have people being re-trained because they haven't done the round for a few years.

the joys of being a reserve in my office, the only reason i couldn't complete is because the walks are not equal and your dealing with a i higher volume of mail compared to other walks, in reality the walk i was on and taken off, pretty much feels like another half a walk is on there, and was proven as the clever manager stuck another part timer on there and claimed around 3 hours overtime haha more fool him for staying out there till 3 in the afternoon is what i say.

but yeah this will go on for years me working blind and on different walks as the level of seniority in my office is really high, im close to 2 years in, but still gonna take ages just to get a rubbish walk.
